Like many families out there, income tax return is vital to the Lost and Tired family’s survival. Each year, I have everything ready for filing right after the first of the year.
We also plan out how to use our tax return, throughout the year.
This year, we are looking to replace our mattress and cover any medical bills for Lizze. We also want to work on the boys rooms as well. Truthfully, I don’t know what’s going to happen now because as it stands, tax return may simple fix the negative balance in our checking account.
I hope that things with that actually get resolved today.
I’m actually supposed to hear back from someone today about the refund status of a check that wasn’t supposed to be cashed.
Anyway, the only problem so far is that because of this whole Fiscal Cliff BS, my tax forms won’t be ready until at least January, 17th. That’s a bit of a delay but should still work. 🙂

Rob, do you do your own taxes or get them prepared? I ask because if you get them prepared, you might want to look for a VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) site in your area. VITA sites have IRS trained volunteers who will prepare simple taxes for free. It is a really great way to get your taxes done and keep all of the money you have earned! http://www.irs.gov/Individuals/Free-Tax-Return-Preparation-for-You-by-Volunteers
