Emmett John said his first word. He just staring saying “doggy” over and over while he was playing with Maggie. He has NEVER said a word till today. I even got it on video. what a great day! and what a good doggie, so patient with him. im sure some more of that babbling will turn to words as well. he seems right on the verge of it. with my son he went from no language to one word for a bit, then quickly to sentences practically over night. we used language building techniques. if he said BALL, i would say BIG BALL or BLUE BALL, even tho he did not repeat it after me, he must have been "getting it" because one day he put 5 words together. it was something like, "car fall down, car bang" and all i could do was :^o ….
