The boys came home this afternoon after having a great time with their grandparents. We were on our way out to go walking when we got the call they were on their way home.
We circled back around, picked them up and took them with us.
Ruby has become a staple on our walks now and the boys love bringing her with us.
We ended up at the old cemetery by the McKinley Monument and we walked through it. It’s sorta weird walking through a cemetery but there’s so much history and we pay our respects to those we who have come before us.
Anyway, we walked a bit under two miles but it was really hot and humid. Ruby pooped out about halfway and Gavin was having problems as well.
We cut things short and picked up dinner on the way home. The boys had free Subway coupons from their July 4th race and we used those.
Lizze went to bed, Gavin’s been cleaning him room, I’ve been doing laundry and the boys have been taking turns on the PS4. Everyone is kinda wore out from our walk but everyone is also in a decent place.
It’s peaceful and quiet. I like peaceful and quiet.
Ruby’s still tuckered out. We walked three miles last night before bed and she’s spent her surplus of energy. It takes a lot to tire her out but we accomplished that today. ☺
My family has spent time indoors as well because of the heat. Our adult son with autism goes out in the community with various workers and shops, volunteers, spends time at activity center or we all play a board game at home. Glad your time was peaceful and quiet!
Sounds like a nice day. We stayed in. While Jacob worked we three stayed in the cool refreshing air. But we are a LOT older too. We even ordered pizza and our personal pizza person brought it, our son. (I am also recuperating after surgery.) It actually sounds like a nice day for all of us!
