We are going through the monumental task of figuring out what clothes we need to try and get before we leave for Florida.
Laundry is something that is almost always a back burner type chore for us because there’s usually more pressing issues.
Washing the laundry isn’t usually a problem but folding, sorting and putting said laundry away proves to be more challenging for us.
At the moment, we’re catching up on all the laundry backlog and making some progress.
Gavin and I matched a shit-ton of socks, while the boys went through their room and pulled out every last piece of dirty clothing.
I’d be happy if we get through all the laundry today, even if we don’t do anything else.
This is a big step towards being ready to leave in less than two weeks. ☺
Have you tried breaking the loads down by whose clothing it is? Give each person a hamper or basket and do the laundry one person at a time. Then it’s at least easier to sort because you know that each basket belongs to a particular person. Also, the boys could sort and put away their own clothes which takes it off of you and allows you to tackle some other chore.
Actually, we have. It’s sorta hit and miss because inevitably, things get mixed up anyway. Generally speaking, mine, Lizze’s and Gavin’s are all seperate.
Emmett and Elliott are usually mixed together. They are so close in size, it’s sometime tough to tell who’s is who’s because all tags have been removed. On the plus side, we do know that if it isn’t khaki shorts and a pug t-shirt, Emmett won’t wear it anyway. Lol
