One of the things we are getting caught up on in the very near future, is doctors appointments. We are actually behind on anything, but quite a few are coming due at the same time.
This week, Lizze has two appointments at the Cleveland Clinic. She scheduled them back to back so we could knock them out in one day, rather than having to make two trips.
Gavin has an eye appointment in the coming weeks, and we aren’t sure what we are going to be learning about his vision there. We’ve transferred him to Akron Children’s Hospital, from the Cole Eye Institute at the Cleveland Clinic. This was done because aside from needing glasses, his eyes have been checking out great and we should be just fine in Akron.
At the very least, Gavin needs new glasses, and a stronger prescription.
Inside of the next week or so, Elliott and Emmett are back at the dentist. Elliott gets one last filling, and Emmett would be just a cleaning, except he chipped his front tooth.
I have an upcoming appointment with my PCP. It’s just a follow up to check my meds and make sure my cholesterol is still heading in the right direction. I’m probably going to have to reschedule because of a conflict with one of the boys appointments.
I’m okay with that because I’d really like to lose a few more pounds before returning, and show my doctor I’m making progress.
There are more appointments scheduled but these are the ones that come to mind as I’m writing this.
We still have all the regular therapies as well, but they’re always there and aren’t really anything new.
It seems like we hit these clusters of appointments every once in awhile. It’s hectic in the moment, but we always make it through. The out of town ones can get a bit expensive, but luckily, we don’t have too many of those in the immediate future.
You mentioned wanting to lose a few more pounds before seeing your doc and that reminded me that I haven’t seen a ‘Wednesday Weigh In’ for a while. How have you been doing since your original post back in December? Were you able to reach your 30 pound goal?
I keep forgetting to do that. I’m down a total of 11 lbs. While that’s still positive, it’s far from my goal. I’m struggling a bit sometimes, but I’m not gaining. I’m getting outside with the boys and being way more active..
Part of my recent struggle is that whole the boys seem to be sleeping better, my sleep cycle is all out of whack. Since school is out, I can finally do a sleep aide to help reset that cycle..
