I’m absolutely spent. The boys went to bed without too much problem. We’ve had better bedtimes but I survived it and that’s what matters. lol
Gavin spent a large part of the day, chewing my ear off and talking about his games or latest missions. I’m gonna be really honest and say that a large part of me never wants to hear about any of this stuff again but that’s not in the cards for me.
I had dinner waiting for Lizze when she got home from class and we settled in to watch a few more episodes of Supernatural on Netflix. We’ve started watching the series all over again.
Lizze went to bed before I did because she was worn out and I just needed some time to myself.
I spent some time tonight working on the site and a few other things, while I watch this really weird movie on Netflix called Containment.. I’m not sure how I feel about it but it wasn’t the worst I’ve seen.
Sometimes I just need to take some time to myself, even if it’s late at night or early in the morning. Sure, I’ll be tired in the morning but let’s be honest, I’d be tired in the morning anyway. lol
Balance is key. I know if I do the things I can do, my husband Bob is all right with it. He is a little more impatient with our sons’ challenges and wishes they would help him fix things more. (And THAT is a whole ‘nother huge story!) And then I remind him that if they weren’t disabled they wouldn’t even be around, much less helping him fix stuff. And they both do help in the ways they are able. Plus my husband keeps thinking he’s 50 with his planning. Nuh uh!
So I guess I’m saying it’s good for you to take time for yourself. 🙂
