Why do I write so much about my divorce?

I never intended any of my writing to have anything to do with divorce because I never thought it would happen to me.

About a year and a half ago, I was proven wrong.

As The Autism Dad blog evolves, it’s becoming more than what it was ever meant to, at least in regards to topics.

I’ve found this to actually be a positive thing because not only can I help Autism families but also provide insight into all the joys that come along with divorce.

I try to set a positive example for people and as far as divorce is concerned, I want to show what I go through as husband, father and male human being.

It’s important to me that people see just how important it is to always make sure the kids come first, especially when the kids have special needs.

I feel like getting divorced plays a huge role in my life and the lives of my kids.  It impacts us on a daily basis and by sharing how I’ve chosen to handle things on this new journey, hopefully people will learn from my mistakes.

I want something positive to grow from the ashes of my previous life..
