If you’re a little tardy to the party, my son Gavin receives twice a week IVIG Infusions (performed by me).

Each infusion consists of antibodies, donated by thousands of people and is a treatment for Gavin’s severely compromised immune system.

Every Monday and Friday, Gavin gets tiny needles placed in his belly that delivers the medication over a couple of hours.

Sometimes the infusion takes upwards of 5 or 6 hours and Gavin’s miserable the entire time.  On days like today though, it goes really fast and finishes in just over an hour.  ☺

The time frame depends on many things, most of which are outside of my control but when all the stars align and things go this well, I’m very thankful.  ☺
