Today was Elliott’s 8th birthday and something he wanted more than anything else in the world was a birthday cake made by his hero Buddy Valastro, aka The Cake Boss. Elliott absolutely loves watching The Cake Boss and he’s wanted to visit Carlo’s Bakery in the worst way imaginable.

Lizze and I had wanted to surprise him with a Cake Bosscake but money is an issue because work hasn’t fully kicked in just yet and we figured we would have to have it shipped.

This afternoon I made a trip to the grocery store to get Elliott a regular birthday cake and you won’t believe what I found.

A Cake Boss cake!!! That’s right….a frickin Cake Boss cake.

They must have just started stocking these bad boys. I snatched one up, paid for it and headed home. I called Lizze to wake her up so I could show her. I was so totally excited, I could barely contain myself.

Here are a few pictures from his birthday. Lizze got a video of his reaction. It was amazing. He literally fell over with excitement.

The cake was amazing. Elliott is positive that this is the best tasting cake in the world.

All he needs to do now is visit Carlo’s Bakery in real life and he’ll be the happiest kid ever.
