Poor Emmett is going to be enduring even more change this week.  A couple of weeks ago one of Emmett’s teachers left for another job. The picture below is of her say goodbye to Emmett.

Emmett had hit a fever flare on her last day and since wasn’t in school to say goodbye.  I brought Emmett with me to pick up the boys and she was so happy to be able to say goodbye and give him a hug.. 🙂

Since she left, Emmett has been refusing to go to school.  It’s gotten pretty bad.

Last Monday, her replacement started and we thought we were in the road to recovery and Emmett would adjust.  We thought that everything would be better for him and he would once again want to go to school.

Unfortunately, his teacher that never left, pulled me aside on Friday to let me know that her new aide has already quit.  Apparently, she just called and said she wasn’t coming back.

The school has tried to explain to the kids that she isn’t coming back.  She wasn’t really there long enough to really bond with the kids but still this is pretty messed up.

The kids in this class are not good adjusting to change and this will undoubtedly throw things into upheaval once again.

Hopefully, Emmett will do okay and eventually adjust.

That being said, I’m not looking forward to convincing him to go to school in the morning… 🙂
