I left a message today with Gavin's Immunologist's office because we still haven't heard about Gavin's transition to *at home*, weekly IVIG Infusion.
As I'm sitting here waiting for my kiddos to get out of school, I heard back from them and apparently there had been some confusion.
It seems as though we were waiting to hear from a visiting nurse, that was supposed to deliver the pump, medications and walk me through the procedure. <img src="https://lxnxuovarpoeyuzaxuet.supabase.co/storage/v1/object/public/blog-images/inline/2014/01/wpid-textgram_1389727944.png" alt="" class="inline-block max-w-full h-auto rounded-xl my-4" loading="lazy" />
The confusion centered around someone coming out to our house because we were actually supposed to do the first infusion at the doctors office and they would teach me there.
Now that we have that straightened out, we're just waiting for another call to let us know when to show up for the appointment and the training. Hopefully in the next few days. If not, he'll have to do another one in the infusion lab again.
Once this process begins, we will be entering another chapter in Gavin's fragile health saga. My hope is that this will be a positive experience that improves the quality of his health and his life. :-)
