We officially said goodbye to our van today. It will soon go to auction and be gone forever. For those of you tardy to the party, we fell behind on the payments and it was repossessed about 2 weeks ago.
There were many attempts made to fix the problem and while we were able to get caught up on the payments, the bank called the loan. We simply couldn't pay the loan off to save the van.
Chase worked with us and I'm really grateful for that but in the end, it just wasn't meant to be.

This lot was huge and it held hundreds of cars that were collected under similar circumstances. It was like walking through a grave yard.
Every car there has a story and a family that may have just fallen on hard times and couldn't manage the payments anymore. It was really sad to walk through there and see how many people had lost there vehicle. Sure, not all of them have a touching story behind the repossession but I'm sure at least some of them do.
We are entering a new chapter of our lives and on top of everything else we have going on, I'll be looking to replace our van ASAP. We can't go without a van, especially with everywhere we have to go for the boys.
I know that some people don't understand how our situation could have gotten this dire. You can read through our story to better understand. Sometimes life requires more of you than you have to give and as a result, things can fall by the wayside.
Not everyone that loses a car to repossession, loses it because they are irresponsible.
Anyway, we will be moving forward and focusing on how to make things better. I won't pretend this is going to be easy but we've been through worse and we're still here.
