One of my absolute favorite things in the world to do is hang out with my boys.  This morning I was laying on the couch because I’m still in a great deal of pain.

The boys decided that they wanted to help me feel better.

Their way of making me feel better is to pile on top of me and snuggle.  This was incredibly painful, especially because they can’t seem to sit still.  Having said that, I would happily endure that, over and over again because I love to snuggle with my boys.

Further more, I love that they are able to show compassion, even if they don’t fully understand what’s going on.

One of the things that I have tried to show them is that as human beings, we not only have the ability but a duty to show compassion and respect all forms of life.  We have worked together to help injured animals and nurse them back to health, when we could have simply looked the other way.

Even though it hurt like hell and it did, I was grateful to be on the receiving end of their ability to show compassion today.  🙂

For the record, Elliott’s not actually sleeping, he’s just being goofy.  🙂

The love in their hearts warmed you so much, that the physical pain becomes not too much to handle, I think. Too bad we can’t all ALWAYS show love to others to help them through their struggles.
