During our last appointment with Dr. Moodley at the Cleveland Clinic, there was a medication change that was scheduled to take place today.
One of the treatments for Gavin's Autonomic Dysfunction is *Ativan*.
Gavin was taking Ativan at .5mg in the morning and .25mg at night. The morning dose is a contributing factor to Gavin falling asleep after breakfast. Today was the last time he's taking Ativan as a preventative measure.
From now on, Ativan will only be used during a crisis. As long as Gavin remains stable, this will stay in effect. If anything changes, we will speak with Dr. Moodley and reevaluate.
This change should make the mornings at school a bit easier for Gavin... :-)
