During our last appointment with Dr. Moodley at the Cleveland Clinic, there was a medication change that was scheduled to take place today.

One of the treatments for Gavin’s Autonomic Dysfunction is Ativan

Gavin was taking Ativan at .5mg in the morning and .25mg at night.  The morning dose is a contributing factor to Gavin falling asleep after breakfast. Today was the last time he’s taking Ativan as a preventative measure.

From now on, Ativan will only be used during a crisis.
As long as Gavin remains stable, this will stay in effect.  If anything changes, we will speak with Dr. Moodley and reevaluate.

This change should make the mornings at school a bit easier for Gavin… 🙂
