I thought it might be fun to share our Manic Monday stories.  Monday’s have historically been rather unpleasant for the Lost and Tired family.  Today is no exception.

Lizze got up with the boys this morning because I had a really bad night of restless sleep.

I was awoke by Lizze panicking and telling me that AEP had come out to shut off our power.  This was not exactly how I wanted to meet Monday morning. Having said that, it’s better to face this sorta thing head on.

Lizze and I went into a scramble. We were literally counting change.  It’s sad really, and some may even say irresponsible but we really do the best we can.  Sometimes it just comes down to counting pennies.

Anyway, I scrambled to the bank only to find that they were closed. I forgot that it was a holiday. However, the bank inside of the Giant Eagle was actually open and that was a life saver.  I had to pull out what we had in one account so that I could put everything into the bank at Giant Eagle.

Thankfully, we were able to put in enough to make the payment and pay the processing fee.

I ran home and was able to make the payment, with a few minutes left to spare. This was a crappy way to start the week.

Having said, we managed to pull this off and that was pretty darn amazing.   🙂 I’m a pretty firm believer in whatever doesn’t kill you only makes you stronger.

We couldn’t have pulled this off without a little help from my parents.  Thank you so much.  🙂

Please feel free to share your Monday morning disaster stories.

Wow…Well mine wasn’t QUITE as manic, but ask me again tomorrow.  Today (Monday) was my 11th anniversary to my wonderful husband.  I woke up (again… I woke up at 12:09am to wish him a happy anniversary) at around 7am with my 7yr old DRENCHED and crying.  No, he had not wet the bed… he’s been sick.  He hasn’t ate in about 4 days, with the exception of pineapple.  I don’t know why, but that’s all he’ll eat.  Everything else comes up.  He hasn’t drank anything, except some warm ginger ale and water, but barely 16 ounces in the last few days.  So to wake up with him that wet… Well we babied his fever, and his pains.. but he’s still totally sick.  Needless to day, not the way my anniversary should have gone, but he won’t be going to school tomorrow, but instead the doctor.  HOPEFULLY it won’t mean another trip to Children’s Hospital…

@Marianne Sandling you win this one. Wow. I totally understand. It’s horrible when our kids get sick like that. My heart goes out to your little one. Hope all is better soon. Happy Anniversary as well. 🙂

I had an inlaw who promised to babysit our kids because they were on holiday from school. She completely flaked at the last minute and we had to scramble to find someone else.Thank God a good friend of ours is a stay at home parent. Saved the day!
