Lizze was kind enough to let me go back to sleep this morning. After taking Elliott to school I just couldn‘t keep my eyes open.
Even after a couple of hours, I’m still dead to the world.
I think that life is just catching up to me a little bit. I’m really stressed out right now and I’m truly overwhelmed by a great many things. I’m going to have a healthy lunch and refuel my body. With any luck, that will help.
Lizze got me a book on Green Smoothies and while they probably are horribly disgusting, I’m anxious to give them a try. I’m all about healthy eating and that’s about as healthy as you can get.
Ron, sweet fruits and stevia and even chocolate will make green smoothies less gross. Cook your greens lightly before consuming them. They will actually slow down your thyroid, because they have goitrogens in them, which block your body from absorbing iodine, which makes thyroid hormone. So do all soy products. That can cause weight gain as well. I found this out from my doctor who treats my thyroid disease. Eating coconut products speed up your metabolism, so you can try that too.
Sorry, forgot to mention cooking breaks down most of the goitrogens.

Undoubtedly you are the headchief cook and bottlewasher (old saying) meaning the main one running the family, thru no fault of Lizzie and her health situation, I think your idea of a healthy smoothie is right on time.Sometimes being the primary caretaker we are so busy and dedicated to caring for our loved ones we inadvertantly neglect or forget to take care of ourself.When you stop and think about it, so many depend on us/you , that it is imparitive we take good care of ourselves. Ya cant keep running a car without doing regular maintenience, surely it will break down, much like our own bodies.I say all of this out of pure concern. You very well may already be taking charge of your own health, but I havent seen you ever write about it until now with the mention of the smoothie. goodluck with that bleeeech your a better soul than I lol.Not to discourage you from them, Ive heard other love them and benifit greatly, still…..bleeeech.lol.
At the very minimum I hope your taking a daily vitamin. Stress can cause all kinds of health issues, and we need to be vigilant in combating the physical damage it can sometimes do.
