Better me than them

We are meeting tonight with Dr.  Patti once again.  This time we will focus on Gavin and not the other boys.

We will probably work out some new guidelines or boundaries to help keep everyone safe.

Elliott and Emmett will be going to Lizze’s parents while we’re gone.  This way, if Gavin freaks out while we’re talking to him, as is likely, they won’t be exposed.

It’s not like I want to be exposed but better me than them.

I am sure that there is probably a better place on your blog to make this comment, but since you mentioned yet another appointment here I want to point out something.  One thing that those without a special needs child don't understand is that half of your exhaustion comes from attending meeting after meeting, and appointment after appointment, and all the work it takes to get there, and that half of them turn out to be a complete waste of time.  All while juggling kids that don't respond well to change.  I know that I am preaching to the choir here.

Maybe I should have put this under pet peeves  🙂
