I wanted to share this because you don't have to spend money to have fun. All you need is 2 dogs that love to fight water and 2 boys that love to spray them.
For a little bit today, I felt like a normal family. I know that sounds bad but I don't mean it that way.
By normal I mean, for once, autism wasn't a factor in how the day went. With 3 boys, all with autism, days like this are few and far between. Typically, someone is having a rough day or is overstimulated. In Gavin's case, we very often have extremely disrupting and destabilizing meltdowns.
These meltdowns tend to throw everyone off for most of the day.
When these things don't occur, I feel like a *normal *family. That's what I mean. :-)
Today was definitely one of those days. The boys were very well behaved and I really enjoyed the time we spent today. We had our hiccups but nothing we couldn't overcome.
I'll have another post about the *hiccups* later.
