Walk in my shoes for 1 minute of 1 day

Today was a fairly typical day for the Lost and Tired family. I thought it would be interesting for you to experience my daily life for just 1 minute of 1 day.

On a typical day, Lizze is down with a migraine or another fibromyalgia related reason.  Emmett seems to either be starting or ending a fever flare. There never seems to be a time where he’s not experiencing the symptoms of Periodic fever, aphthous stomatitis, pharyngitis and adenitis or PFAPA for short.

I think we have mistakenly been referring to this as Marshall’s Syndrome and I’m not sure that’s correct but it is easier to say than Periodic fever, aphthous stomatitis, pharyngitis and adenitis.

Either way, Emmett seems to be struggling with the symptoms of this quite often.

The entire Lost and Tired family has a symbiotic relationship. This means that we all pick up on and respond to each other’s moods, attitudes or conditions on a sub-conscience level. We all ebb and flow, like the tide based on how everyone else is feeling. Does that make sense?

Earlier today, I found myself standing in the living room, surrounded by chaos. Emmett was melting down over the color of his sippy. Today has been a very color sensitive day for him. I’m sure some of you have dealt with that or something similar.

Emmett’s screaming sends Elliott into overload and so he begins to whine.

It becomes a cycle and they seem to feed each other. Ironically, at that particular moment, Gavin was the only one doing OK.

This cycle has repeated itself all day long.

This is very difficult to manage without totally losing my mind, especially when Lizze is down and unable to help out much.

Having said all of the above, welcome to 1 minute of 1 day of my life. This is actually relatively calm considering….. However, over time, like water, it slowly erodes away my patience and sanity. Imagine every single day of your life being like this. Many of you out there don’t have to imagine as you live it every day as well.

I know what you are trying to point out here. Sometimes, we can only understand other people if we try to put ourselves on their shoes. And we are really learning from it. Nice insight and story you got here. This is my first time to check your site and I find it very meaningful.
