Emmett’s Surgery: The arrival

We have arrived on time despite every idiot being on the road at the same time this morning.  Traffic on 77N was horrible and we were very lucky to arrive when we did.

My stomach is in knots right now.  It was weird,  when we were driving up here today,  I felt just as sick as I used when we had to go to court to fight for Gavin.  I hate that feeling,  it’s such a helpless feeling.

Emmett is going in for a relatively minor surgery today for a rare condition called PFAPA.  I can’t even begin to imagine what parents and kids go through with more serious surgeries for more serious conditions.
My heart truly goes out to them.
