This coming week will quite possibly be the worst week so far this year in terms of stress.
Elliott starts school on Tuesday and we still need to find a uniform shirt. The same day, Gavin has his second infusion therapy at Akron Children’s Hospital at 10:00 am and will likely be sick for a day or so after.
On Wednesday, Emmett has surgery to remove his tonsils and adenoids. Normally this is an out patient procedure but in Emmett’s case, he will be admitted for a period of at least 24 hours to make sure he is okay. This is due in part to his age and his limited ability to verbally communicate.
During and after the surgery, Gavin will still be recovering from the antibody infusion, likely at Lizze’s parents house.
On Friday, we make the trip to the Cleveland Clinic, to meet with Dr. Glaze about everything going on with Gavin. This is a very important meeting because Dr. Azerbaijan is one of the top in his field and he’s making it a point to help us to help Gavin. I’m not sure how Gavin will be feeling but hopefully, it will be much better by that time.
Gavin is likely to miss the first week of school and that sucks. However, we have little choice in the matter and even less control over the timing.
We still have all the therapy appointments through out the week as well. The following week, we start back at Akron Children’s Hospital for the Triple P program once again.
Lizze is still not feeling well, so I have no idea how we are going to pull this off. It would be tough on the best of days.
