BAD NEWS: Gavin’s still seeing and hearing things that aren’t real :(

First of all, I'm sorry for the less than frequent updates over the last few days. With school starting and a few other things going on, I've been distracted. - Rob I don't think there's a day that goes by where I'm not worried about Gavin for one reason or another. Yesterday, he told me that he still sees Sonic and that he's never gone away. He told me that he just didn't talk about him because his brothers were always home and he knows it's confusing for them. On one hand, I'm touched by the fact that he's cognizant enough to handle it that way, assuming that it's actually true. How did the kids do on their first day of school?

Update: This should have posted yesterday. Not sure what happened. The boys had an amazing first day of school, even though it was cut a bit short for Emmett's physical therapy. No one had any complaints accept Emmett said his pizza was too soft so he didn't eat it. I'm not sure what that's all about. All he and Elliott would eat last year was cold pizza for lunch. It's the exact same pizza, packed the exact same way and he didn't even touch it. Although, to be honest, he didn't really eat his lunch last year either now that I think about it. I'm so please that everything went well for them. I'm doubly pleased that Emmett's still liking his shoes and willing to keep wearing them. I was…

Gavin / My thoughts

I’m taking Gavin into the doctors today

Not that I relish the idea of another doctors appointment but I'm taking Gavin into his pediatrician this afternoon. The issues he's facing with his bladder are such that I want to make sure we rule out any type of infection. It was ruled out a few months back but his symptoms have gotten much worse and so I'm wanting to make sure everything is still okay. I'll pick up the boys after school and take them to my Mom.. She's gonna hangout with them while I take Gavin. I'm pretty sure that today's appointment will show that there's no infection but if there's a chance, I want to rule it out. Gavin needs relief ASAP and this is something I can do while waiting to get into the Cleveland…

My thoughts

We only had one meltdown this morning

The boys were both up super early. I'm talking like 3am early. Emmett never went back to sleep, so I'm really grateful that I went to bed before 9 pm last night. 😀 It was still a pretty good morning as we were met with only a single meltdown. I'm hoping to have repeat of yesterday's success by having a really awesome day.

My Personal Victory / My thoughts

I totally kicked ass today :)

I did such an awesome job today and I'm gonna pat myself on the back for a minute. The victories began with getting the boys off to school. They did such a great job and I was able to keep everyone moving and motivated. After dropping the boys off at school, I got my first workout of the year in and it felt so good. It was already really warm and extremely humid, so I burned a shitload of calories. 😀 I ate super healthy all day long and kept well under my calorie goal for the day by making better choices and not allowing stress to dictate my diet. The victories continued as I picked the boys up from school early and took Emmett to physical therapy. …

My Personal Victory / My thoughts

This morning has been a complete success

So the boys are off to their first day of the new school year. Their Mom and Grandmother stopped by to see them off and snag some pictures. I got the boys to school and saw them to their respective classrooms before they went to breakfast. I should probably add that Emmtt was wearing shoes and socks. 👍 Emmett has the exact same teachers as last year so he's really excited and so am I. Elliott has all new teachers and so he's a little hit nervous but mostly excited. He's upset cause he can't sleep in anymore but he'll adjust. 😀 I have to get the boys from school early today because Emmett has physical therapy at Akron Children's Hospital this afternoon. Concerns have been raised and I’m addressing them in this post

This post began as a response to a comment I received today but took on a life of its own. I'm not upset or offended by the comment but I did want to address a few things and hopefully provide a little more insight into things on my end. The comment in question raised concerns about my financial situation and made reference to our gas being turned off for months. The situation with losing our house was mentioned as well as how unfair it is for the kids to live in a house without hot water.
