First of all, things aren't looking good for the many people in the path of Hurricane Irma. My heart goes out to all in its path, as well as those putting their lives back together in its wake. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all those who lost their lives in this truly terrible storm. I've been talking to people familiar with where we're supposed to be going, as well as surviving hurricane weather. It's looking like we may actually have to reschedule our trip. One of the reasons I've been so stressed out over the last few days is because of what I'm calling the zero mistake. The last week or so has been unbelievably busy. Between medical emergencies with Lizze's Dad and everything going on with Gavin, I'm a bit frazzled. Frankly, my nerves are fried. Last Saturday, I had to make a run back home from the hospital to get something for Lizze and as I pulled back into the parking deck, I remembered that I needed to pay the gas bill. I hopped on my tablet and made my $86.50 payment. It was a relief to be able to do that, as well as not forgetting to do that, especially with everything going on. The boys had a good day at school but Elliott looks like shit and is running a fever. I don't think it's anything serious as it's probably just a cold. That said, a fever is a fever and he will be home tomorrow. I need to speak with his teachers because Elliott is saying that they told the class not to come to school if they're running a fever, and yet we're critical about the time Elliott's missed this year because he was sick. He also alleges that they said for him to be in school, even if he's sick, as long as he's not running a fever. Lizze and I want to clear this up because I'm hoping Elliott misunderstood. Everyone got off to school this morning without too much of a problem. That allowed me to meet my Mom and walk about four miles before 10 AM. I'm super pumped about that. When I was done, I picked Lizze and Gavin up because we needed to get the boys lunches to school. After that, I dropped Lizze off at the hospital and proceeded to take Gavin to my parents. I came back and picked Lizze up before returning home. It was important for her to see her Dad and this let us get everything done that needed to be done.
