One of the best moments from our Florida vacation A few days into our stay at Give Kids the World, the village received a visit from Santa Claus. Emmett and Gavin were beside themselves as they waited for the day to arrive where they got to see Santa. Elliott was not so excited because he's at that age. If you ask the kids, this was probably one of their most cherished moments from our trip. On a side note, I just realized that we left without our pictures of the boys with Santa. I took this one but they took family pictures as well.

I’m so happy for Gavin

I'm writing tonight to share something cool that happened today. Gavin's huge into My Little Pony and they characters play a big role in his Schizophrenic hallucinations. Aside from Sonic, they actually play the largest role on his team of super best friends. For the last few months, he's been so excited about the new My Little Pony Movie that was just released in theaters. Every time he meets someone, he shares how excited he is about seeing it. This afternoon, Lizze's Mom picked Gavin up and took him to see it. I guess it was just her, Gavin and some other dude in the entire theater. Emmett’s struggle with #Autism is getting worse

I hate to even think this, let alone verbalize it but as time goes on, Emmett's struggle with all things Autism seems to be getting worse. Everything sensory related is so much worse than it's ever been before. His threshold for dealing or coping with these things is almost nonexistent on some days. This is very frustrating for everyone because it means that so many things are more challenging than ever before. I should probably clarify that it's the symptoms of Autism that are worsening. Unless you're dealing with CDD, Autism itself doesn't usually get worse. The symptoms, on the other hand, can, especially when a child is under stress or duress.
