Please tell me it’s bedtime 

OMG.... I've had my hands full today with the boys. Gavin's been driving me nuts with his constant talking but he's also been a huge help today and I'm super grateful for that. Elliott and Emmett on the otherhand have been fighting all day long.. I've lost count of how many meltdowns Emmett's had today and I'm not looking forward to getting him ready for school in the morning. A day like today is not a good sign of what's to come. I'm really looking forward to bedtime because I need some quiet tonight. I'd love to be able to hear myself think.

I’m grateful tonight

Lizze is getting some shut eye and the boys and I are hanging out. We made pancakes for dinner and I focused more on serving sizes this time around and we had far less waste.. ☺ Gavin's getting his infusion and I'm writing this, while the boys are working together in the Xbox. It's almost bedtime and I'm feeling really good about this evening because it was pleasant. I was able to get some things done, make dinner and hangout with the boys.. I'm also glad that I was able to do this without needing to wake the wife. She's not been feeling well and needs some extra sleep. I'll probably put the kids down for the night and check on Lizze before settling in for some of whatever I…

I’m absolutely frazzled today

I'm feeling pretty frazzled today. It's been nonstop this morning and I'm was up with Emmett last night again. Unfortunately, I'm allowing this enormous amount of stress to throw off my getting healthier plans so far. I totally own that and I'm really trying to stay motivated but it's a struggle. On the positive side, I'm still tracking what I eat and making better choices in that regard but the workout part is not going so well. With school starting tomorrow, my hope is that I can find the strength to give myself the needed push when I'm not neck deep in everything surrounding the kids. It's so exhausting and it's been a long break.  I've had several things come up that have me preoccupied and stressed out as well.…

Does anyone have experience with their kids pulling their hair out? 

Apparently, I spoke too soon when I said that Gavin was having a good day because something has once again come to light.  At some point between the time Gavin woke up this morning and now, he's been plucking the hairs on his goatee to the point where I had to make him shave it all off.  I don't think we've seen this in at least a few months but he's very much back at it today. I know he pulls hair from other places also and I don't make it a habit of checking at all.  The only time I know it's a problem is when I see him doing this to his facial hair. The boys are having a good day

It's business as usual today. We welcomed in a new year in and thus far have had a pretty good day. The boys are in pretty good moods today and that's always a good thing. Gavin is very talkative and exceptionally clumsy today.  Everywhere he goes, he's either dropping things or knocking something over. I'm not sure what's going on with him right now but I'm hoping it's just an off day for him. We are going to Lizze's parents for an early New Years dinner. I don't want to make it a late night because I'm tired and we have to get them back into their routine before school starts back in in a few days.

I’m getting worried

I'm concerned that Gavin is slipping a bit farther than he has before. He's  really struggling with even basic problem solving skills. Here's just the latest example of what I'm worried about. Gavin received a new pair of comfy pants to wear to bed or around the house. After trying them on, he came downstairs and told me that they don't fit him. He went on to explain that they were so tight, he couldn't even pull them up past his knees.  Confused by this, I asked to see them because Grandma's never wrong when it comes to the kids sizes.  When he brought them over to me, I noticed right away why they were too tight.The drawstring was tied and that's why the waist and that's why they didn't…
