So much happened this week and I don’t know where to start

It's been such a really good week. My stress level is relatively manageable, either that or I'm coping better. Either way, it's a win. So much has happened over the last seven days, I'm not even sure where to begin. I guess I'll just start somewhere. There's been a few new beginning this week. Elliott started his first job, and so far it's going great. He seems to really like it, but he's not used to it yet, so at the end of the day he's exhausted. I also started my new consulting gig. Actually, I started both of the new consulting gigs this week, and I love'em both. I've made some new connections, and it's all good in the business department. 2 very important, but slightly delayed updates

I meant to share this eariler but frankly, it still isn't finalized and nothing has actually changed yet. That said, I finally heard back from Gavin's immunologist about the issues with his GAMMAGARD. They hadn't reached out because they were still trying to get everything approved. The got everything approved but insurance screwed up and approved the wrong pharmacy. You can't get these things at just any pharmacy. The pharmacy has to agree to certain terms and there's a lot of red tape. Approving the wrong pharmacy doesn't do us any good because everything is at our pharmacy. I don't know if that makes sense. Basically, insurance made a mistake and the doctor has not be able to reach them to get it fixed. Calls aren't being returned, at least…

A down and dirty update

It's been a weird day and painful day. It was weird because of some of the things going on and painful because my back hurts like a motherfucker. I have to thank my amazing wife for stepping up and getting the kids to school this morning because I wasn't in a condition to drive. I'm moving around a little better as the day goes on but I feel like I'm being ripped in half and that's not an exaggeration. Anyway, Gavin is on his way to his grandparents house, where he's going to spend the night. He's super excited and has been looking forward to this all week. The timing is perfect because I have to drive Lizze to the Cleveland Clinic in the morning and we won't be home…

Updates so big they almost don’t fit

There are a few things I need to update you all on. Some are bigger deals than others but all remain important. They aren't in any particular order of importance. It's just the order they popped out of my head. ☺ Gavin's spending the night and most of the day tomorrow with his grandparents. They will be celebrating his birthday with him and taking him shopping. Gavin was really excited and I'm happy to see him that way. An odd thing happened this morning. If I hadn't seen it myself, I wouldn't believe it. Emmett decided to wear socks to school today. This kid hasn't worn socks for the better part of two years now. It’s been a low key feeling blessed kinda day

This is a quick update, as I've been otherwise occupied and unable to write much today.  We've had a pretty low key kinda day. The car should be fixed sometime today or tomorrow. I have to be present, with ID and registration in order to get the new keys cut.  I spent most of the day making significant upgrades to the server, that will impact this site, Lizze's site and the support forums. I'm learning some cool stuff as I manage my own server. Lots of fun... ☺  A little bit ago, the boys and I walked to Walgreens to get some eggs, bread and bacon for dinner.  Lizze is currently making french toast and we have a quiet evening planned.  I'm super excited to get the car back because…
