Review: The Nixplay Iris Cloud Frame is a fantastic digital frame (@nixplaycloud)

At the time of writing this review, Father's Day is quickly approaching, and one of the coolest things you can give a Dad in this digital age is a digital picture frame. I've been a Dad for almost twenty years, and memories are something that I cherish. In my opinion, the best way to display those memories is with a digital picture frame. On the off chance that you are unfamiliar with digital frames, they're picture frames with an HD display built in. This display allows you to show countless pictures, without having to pull the frame down, remove and replace the photo. I've used tons of digital frames over the years, and the Nixplay Iris is a cloud frame and easily among the best I've used. I'm a tech-savvy…

Review: Jiobit GPS tracking for autistic kids

I'm a huge technology junkie and love using it to improve the quality of my family's life. Sometimes, however, something comes to my attention that I want to bring to my readers ASAP because I believe it can have a direct impact on their lives or the lives of their loved ones, and Jiobit GPS tracking is one of those things. Why GPS Tracking Matters Most of us are familiar with the many safety-related reasons why someone might want their kids to carry a GPS tracker. Sometimes it's making sure they get where they're supposed to go, and other times, it's just a safety precaution. While everyone may have a different reason for wanting their child to have a GPS tracker, when it comes to Autism parenting, GPS tracking can…

Review: Jaybird Run XT, Truly Wireless Earbuds by @jaybirdsport

Before we get started, I want to thank Jaybird/Logitech for sponsoring this review and in doing so, helping to support my Autism Awareness efforts. All opinions contained herein are my own. As a veteran Autism and Special Needs parent of nearly twenty years, I'm a huge proponent of self-care. I have made the conscious decision in my life, to take better care of myself because I need to be here as long as possible for my kids. I encourage all my parents to do the same because being an Autism parent isn't easy and stress management is crucial for both physical and emotional health. My big thing is walking. I love walking, and I go pretty much every single day, regardless of the weather. I'm very particular about this process…

ETY-Kids 5 Safe-Listening In-Ear Headphones by @WorldWideStereo (Review)

This brief review is a bit overdue as a result of a WordPress related glitch last week. I wanted to get this out there for parents who are worried about their kids damaging their hearing as a result of using headphones and listening at dangerously high volume levels. My Son Elliott has been using the Etymotic Research ETY-Kids 5 Safe-Listening In-Ear Headphones for a little while now. Elliott is huge into music and if he's awake, he's got earbuds in. He loves his Bose CQ 35 II NC headphones but can't wear them all the time. Lizze and I have been concerned about him damaging his hearing because he tends to listen at higher volumes. When I was approached to do this review, I jumped on it because Elliott loves…

Review: Quell 2.0 (@Quellrelief) may have just changed my life

The good people at Quell provided me with a free Quell 2.0 in exchange for honest feedback. All opinions and experiences are my own. Many of you are aware that I've been living in chronic pain since August of 2001. I was firefighter finishing up paramedic school and I got hurt on a call. I ended up with an L5/S1 left sided herniation and it changed the course of my life. Pretty much since that day, I've lived in constant pain. Over the last few years, I've been walking and that has made a big impact on my pain but it's always there to some degree. This pain, while better managed, still dictates a great deal of my life. I could sleep on the best mattress in the world and…
