Review of the Rechargeable Magnetic Night Light with Motion Sensor I received this item for review purposes. I accepted this review with the intention of using it as a night light for Elliott.. It arrived a couple of days ago and ended up being smaller than I had anticipated. Having said that, I actually appreciate the size it actually is because it works like a charm and Elliott loves it. I've used the mounting tape and stuck this to the underside of the top bunk in my kids room. This allows him to use a light at night without disturbing his brother on the top bunk.  The base sticks to the underside of the top bunk via double sided tape and the light itself sticks to the base via magnet.…

Autism Awareness month is upon us and I wanted to start things off with a few important reminders.  The Autism community consists of people with many different opinions, experiences, beliefs and approaches to life. Many of these differences can be polarizing in nature and often seems to draw a line in the sand.  This invisible line is a problem, and has been for a very long time, the biggest of which is that it divides us. It makes our efforts to promote awareness, acceptance and understanding, ineffective at best.  As we enter into Autism Awareness Month 2017, we have the ability to make a real difference. Sometimes I need to purge and this is one of those times

I've been trying to finish up a few posts tonight but I'm really struggling. Nothing I write seems to come out in a way that conveys my thoughts accurately and I'm getting really frustrated.  Rather than continue to struggle, I'm going to let my thoughts flow into this entry, without being shaped. As a result, I may jump around, but please understand that I'm trying to work through something in real-time.  I don't even know where to begin but I guess I'll begin with the immediate stressors. How #depression is impacting my weight-loss journey

After a long night with Mr. Elliott, I'm feeling a bit rundown today. The weather is even shittier than yesterday because we went from warm and rainy to freezing.  Lizze is paying a price as a result and that price is high.  The boys are hanging out with their grandparents for a little bit today. This gives Lizze and I break that we definitely need.  I'm using this down time to figure some things out. The last three weeks have been tough. We basically went from a week of everyone being sick, to a short week at school, to Spring break.  We've been facing some temporary financial hardships again and of course the car has been down this week as well. It was a mixed bag yesterday and I apologize for not writing. I'm hoping to bring you all current in the entry.  Let's start with the fact that Elliott has been unable to fall asleep the last three nights. The only way to get him asleep is to move him to the living room and I've had to do that the last few nights. Part of the problem is that we are out of Melatonin and our new supply won't be here until Sunday.  He's definitely trying to sleep but it just isn't happening. I can get him to sleep but only on the love seat in the living room.  He goes through this every once in awhile and he needs a change of scenery, in order to finally fall…

It’s been a low key feeling blessed kinda day

This is a quick update, as I've been otherwise occupied and unable to write much today.  We've had a pretty low key kinda day. The car should be fixed sometime today or tomorrow. I have to be present, with ID and registration in order to get the new keys cut.  I spent most of the day making significant upgrades to the server, that will impact this site, Lizze's site and the support forums. I'm learning some cool stuff as I manage my own server. Lots of fun... ☺  A little bit ago, the boys and I walked to Walgreens to get some eggs, bread and bacon for dinner.  Lizze is currently making french toast and we have a quiet evening planned.  I'm super excited to get the car back because…
