So the 2 oldest are at grandma's and Lizze was having a really bad day pain-wise so I decided to take them to the food court at the mall. We never eat out so this was kinda nice. Then we walked around window shopping until Emmett John stopped dead in his tracks. I think the pictures are self explanitory.....We got it for him and he is snuggling "Groover" and sleeping in own bed.... It's a start anyway....

As you all know Lizze's surgery was canceled because the "Medical Director" of our insurance company feels Lizze doesn't need the surgery. He or she should not be in the position to micro manage the wellbeing of someone from their lush office and cushy leather desk chair. Lizze's doctor and 3 or 4 other doctors ALL agree that this IS MEDICALLY NECESSARY. They have ACTUALLY talked to her in person. They have ACTUALLY examined her and determined the ONLY course of action is the surgery. Lizze is currently still doubled over in pain because she still has the uterus that was supposed to be GONE two days ago. It's bad enough when this happens to the average person but Lizze isn't the average person, She is in pain constantly and…

Elliott is constantly being assulted by Emmett John. I have no clue how to stop it.....or for that matter what is causing it.

Emmett and I made a trip to McDonalds between speech and school. He got an apple juice daddy got a milk shake. Emmett feel asleep in mid-sip. He was quite tired after the evaluation. On a side note, that was the last time that door on the van worked....

Emmett had his 1st day of speech the other day. His evaluation went well. However, he is functioning at a 25%+ deficit.. Basically he's significantly struggling with speech and language. No we just have to wait for insurance to approve the sessions.

The explanation we received is that the surgery was over $12,000.00 and they didn't want us to incur the cost if they could convince the insurance company to cover it. It would otherwise cost us almost $700/month. Dr.D's office manager said she told Lizze it was canceled but we didn't understand. We were told it was up to the hospital. At that point the hospital said it was still on and only canceled it after we spoke with them. We were never notified by the hospital that it was canceled. Either way it sucks and will have a HUGE negative impact on our family. I wish money wasn't a deciding factor for things like this. I understand but damn it sucks.....
