Lizze and Emmett took Bella to the vets this morning. She's scheduled for surgery a few minutes from now (7:30am). Emmett is heavily involved in Bella's care as she is his dog and they are best friends. The idea of leaving the vets office,  without Bella was very difficult for him.  Our vet is really great and totally understanding.  He spent a great deal of time,  explaining to Emmett that she was going to be just fine.  The reason she is staying overnight is because he just wants to make sure that Bella is all better before she comes home. It's going to be a very long day.  Emmett is already having a rough time with his current fever flares and now....... I stand by the decision to let him…

Bella will be getting fixed,  first thing this morning.  She's scheduled for arrival about 7am and may or may not come home today. This had to happen because that last thing in the world we need is for her to go into heat. I had to explain to the boys what we were having done to her and why. I explained that we do this want Bella to happy and healthy.  This is one of those things we need to do because it's the right thing to do. The boys are all a bit nervous about her leaving in the morning but they'll be okay. I had to stop for fuel this morning on our way to the market.  All I can say is thank God for Giant Eagle Fuel Perks.  It was $70 to fill the tank but would have been much more with out the $. 90 off per gallon I had saved up. Lizze and I got Gavin a watch that monitors his heart rate.  It's very simple to use.  All he has to do is simply touch the bezel. He sees his heart rate within a few seconds.  Because he's been having so many problems lately,  we needed him to have something like this so that we can get his heart rate on the fly. Right now,  we have him getting a reading whenever he has any symptoms like,  dizziness,  nausea, chest pain or headaches. Hopefully,  we can find a pattern,  of there is one,  to what he is experiencing. For example,  if he has chest pain,  and checks his heart rate and sees that it's really high,  that gives us information.  The same goes for all his symptoms.  Hopefully,  we will…

Typically I write with much for frequency and intent.  However,  lately I've been so tired that putting my thoughts in order is very difficult.  I'm going to likely take the rest of today off and try to put things in order. Lizze and I may have a chance to get out of the house,  without the boys.  She's so overwhelmed that I want to give her as much of my attention as possible today.  She my best friend and I want to get her away for a few hours. Elliott has been in very rare form as of late. His anxiety and energy levels are absolutely through the roof. He is literally bouncing off the walls,  couches,  steps,  beds and anything else foolish enough to stand in his path.  He's even been trying to ride Maggie like a horse. As you recall,  we are waiting for Elliott's medical records to be transferred before any new medication can be started to help relieve his anxiety. Yesterday was the first day that we saw the meltdowns show signs of returning.  The boys were supposed to be sharing animal crackers,  but instead,  Gavin took them over and ate 90% of what was there,  all by himself. He didn't like being held accountable and so he began to kind of freak out. This sent the two E's running for cover and the stress level of the entire house, skyrocket. Having said that,  Gavin began deep breathing and made the choice to go lay down,  instead of melting down. Good job Gavin. As time goes on,  we are beginning to see the possibility of meltdowns looming on the horizon. As you have heard me say many times before,  Elliott is a huge fan of all things Super Mario. His absolute favorite is Super Mario Sunshine.  He loves everything about Mario,  including,  his water powered rocket pack,  Flood? Pictured below is Elliott's latest and greatest creation,  his own Flood.  He made this out of a paper towel role, a piece of race track and some Lego's.
