I’m really proud of myself today

I'm feeling good today. We had a good morning, and the kids got off to school with little struggle. I was even able to grab an almost three mile walk this morning as well.  I even made a new breakfast smoothie for after my walk and it was awesome. ☺  This time around, my smoothie consisted of: 1 cup blueberries 1 cup spinach 1 tbsp chia seeds 1 cup of skim milk 1 cup of ice .5 cup plain Greek yogurt 1.25 scoop SlimFast  1 scoop vegan protein powder  It was really good, had tons of protein and came in under my calorie goal for breakfast. It's almost lunch time and I'm not even hungry. ☺  I'm also putting a major focus on water consumption as well. I fell short…

I could use a boost in both areas 

I'm returning to my walking routine this morning. My goal is at least three miles. I'll be meeting up with my Mom for the walk, and I'm looking forward to it.  I'm really making an effort to whip myself into shape, make better choices and be more active. Walking has proven to do wonders for me both emotionally and physically. Frankly, I could use a boost in both areas right now.

This is what I’ve begun doing today 

I'm off to a good start this week, in regards to my weight-loss journey. I had what I've dubbed my yogurt medley for breakfast. It's my favorite thing to begin my day with.  Plain Greek Yogurt Dry roasted peanuts  Blueberries  Go Lean Chocolate Crunch Few dark chocolate morsels  The treadmill was also calling my name this morning. It was all like, Rob, why don't you walk on me while you're playing Titan Fall 2 on the Xbox. That's exactly what I did.  Lunch is next on my agenda and that's likely to be a SlimFast shake.  I plan on sorting a bunch of laundry this afternoon, and eventually hitting the treadmill for a second time.  I'm feeling pretty good right now, and I'm motivated to keep this up. We had such and awesome day today

We had a really awesome day. Aside from a few hiccups discussed in an earlier post, by all accounts we had a great day.  Lizze and I took the boys walking again today, right before dinner.  Unfortunately, we were competing with dusk and had to cut our walk short but I took all that into account when planning our turn around point. We ended up walking 2.02 miles and I didn't have to carry anyone. ☺  Emmett only had one my foot feels funny incident during the entire walk and that's awesome.   Our goal is to head out earlier in the day tomorrow and not so close to sundown. We'd like to do this as often as the weather allows because we're working on a healthier lifestyle and walking…
