We had such a good time tonight

We had a really fun time with the whole family last night. We spent the evening celebrating Mother's Day with my parents and siblings. We haven't all been in the same place at the same time in a really long time. It was awesome. The boys did really well but sadly, Elliott wasn't feeling well at all. He was okay when we first got there but shortly after arriving, he began to not feel well. It's the same sore throat, headache and nasal drip thing he's been dealing with. It's been on and off for the last few days. If he's not feeling better by Monday, we'll get him into to see his doctor. I'm pretty sure this will have to runs its course but nothing wrong with erring on…

We Came – We Saw – We Conquered

After all we went through to make it to this bloody movie today, it was worth it. The kids did great and sat mesmerized for the entire two hours and twenty minutes. Avengers: Infinity War was absolutely amazing. It was nonstop action from the very first scene and that helped to keep their attention. I won't talk about the movie other than to say that this isn't the last movie. I loved hearing the boys share their theories as to what happened, why it happened and what will happen. I don't happen to agree with their theories but I love being witness to their brilliant brains going to work.. ☺

I surprised the kids today

The boys have had a rough week and I wanted to do something nice with them. Lizze wasn't feeling well, so she stayed behind to get some rest. The boys and I ran a few errands before I decided to surprise them with Cici's Pizza for dinner. Cici's Pizza is pretty affordable, especially on limited funds. I just thought that they were a huge help today and really helped after I went grocery shopping. They brought in the groceries and helped me put them away. Why family time is so important to me (25 pictures)

The other day I took the family to the Garden Center. It was relatively nice put and I want everyone to get used to being more active, especially as Spring approaches. Everyone had fun and I was able to take some pictures. Family time like this is so important because it helps us all to put aside what causes us distress, even for a little while, and live life without fear or reservation. Selfishly, I need moments like these because my life isn't easy. It's not even remotely easy on the best of days. I’m surprising my wife and kids tonight

I'm taking the family to see the final Maze Runner movie tonight. We have seen the first two, and everyone is dying to see the new one. Unfortunately, we have to get to an evening showing but it will be so cool to go out as a family. It will end up being a late night, but the boys will be visiting their grandparents in the morning, so Lizze and I can get some rest if it ends up being a rough night. I love hearing my kids laugh

I've got a few movie passes burning a hole in my pocket and the boys really, really want to see Daddy's Home 2. Lizze isn't feeling well today but is happy to go along with us cause she'll have a nap before at that will help her feel a bit better. The boys are finishing up watching the first Daddy's Home as I'm writing this. They have been seeing the previews for awhile now and crack up each time they see it. How I managed to improve everyone’s mood today

The boys both had great days at school. They came home in bad moods because they were at each other's throats on the car ride back. I decided to get the whole family, including Lizze, out of the house for a short while and we went to the Canton Garden Center. Lizze is still very much under the weather, but I thought some fresh air and sunshine would do her some good.
