Poor Emmett’s in so much pain tonight

What may end up being best is to give them the long break to recover but also go and get some of their makeup work.
Whooping Cough is a very serious respiratory illness and I simply don't understand how antivaccine people blow this off like it's not a big deal. I can assure you, if you've ever been around someone, especially a child with Whooping Cough, you'll be so grateful there's a vaccine.
Not a huge deal, unless your kids are Autistic and barely tolerate clothes to begin with.
Just a quick update. I mentioned in the last post that Emmett woke up and wasn't able to go back to sleep because of his sore throat. It turns out that Emmett is still unable to go back to sleep and I'm now sitting in a chair, while he's trying to fall asleep on the couch. If he falls asleep, I will hopefully be able to eventually move him to his bed. I'm so fricking tired and I need sleep.
Both boys are going to be home again today. They are both sick and Elliott is becoming concerning because of his fever, congestion and cough. He's probably just dealing with a cold but he and Emmett both will be seen by their pediatrician today. Emmett was directly exposed to Whooping Cough but went on antibiotics last weekend. I suspect Elliott will be put on antibiotics as a precaution as well. Anyway, it's better to be safe than sorry and we'll let his doctor decide what she thinks is best. Aside from that, there's not really a great deal going on today. I'd very much like to see everyone sleep in because I could really use the extra sleep. As I'm writing this, Emmett is awake and unable to go back…
It's going to be a seriously busy week and it's going to involve a great deal of driving. Elliott has an appointment at Akron Children's Hospital in the morning. This is for a medication check with the behavioral health center. The drive will likely be longer than the actual appointment but it is what it is. On Wednesday, I'll be returning to Akron Children's Hospital again, this time with Gavin. He's got a follow up with gastroenterology. We've been waiting for this and I need to make this happen. On Thursday, Lizze has an appointment in the morning and on Friday, I'm back at Akron Children's Hospital once more for the boys. This is just a regular thing with their pediatrician. It's not a big deal but we still have…
We've been very careful what we said around Emmett but he looked it up himself and that has him terrified. At that point, we felt it best to be very honest with him about what Whooping Cough is.
