This is provide by Ram Meyyappan of Social Security Disability Help, as a source of valuable information that may benefit you and your family.  Disability Benefits for Autistic Children Many people are unaware of the fact that social security disability benefits are available to not only disabled adults, but disabled children as well. Do you ever get frustrated with your life?

This is a really interesting question and I'm curious as to how you all will answer it.  It's important to understand that being frustrated with your life doesn't somehow make you weak or ungrateful. I get frustrated with life all the time.  At the same time, I wouldn't trade my life for anything in the world. The psychotic break

Today was a really weird day. I'm not sure how to describe Gavin right now.  I could say weird and that would absolutely fit but it seems a bit harsh. It would be accurate to say that Gavin was off today, really, really off. With Gavin's complexity, it's often hard to sorta put your finger on what's going on or find the words to describe his behavior. Behaviorally, Gavin's had a great day and I'm super proud of him.  I made sure to tell him that also.  As far as health issues go, it was a strange day for him.  I wasn't sure if he was going into a crisis or getting sick.  Honestly, either one would be a bad thing for him. He was having tummy issues on and…

Today’s #Autism Victory: Here’s mine, share yours

Most parents think it's nice to see your kids getting along.  I'm no exception to this. In fact, I live to see my kids getting along. Today, Elliott and Emmett were snuggling on the couch and sharing the iPad. This is a huge victory for the Lost and Tired family. Lately, the boys haven't been getting along all that well. They did today though and that is something that I gratefully accept. :-) This site is managed almost exclusively via WordPress for Android. Please forgive any typos as autocorrect HATES me. ;-) Follow @Lost_and_Tired Visit the My Autism Help Forums To reach me via email, please Contact Me

It’s come to this. I’m selling my Samsung Galaxy Note 2

Things have reached a point of desperation, if I'm being completely honest. I have no choice but to sell my precious Samsung Galaxy Note 2. I'm pretty distressed by this because I run this site from my phone. However, I gotta do what I gotta do. Please help me spread the word about this 24 hour Ebay auction. If' I'm able to figure something else out, I will pull the auction but for right now, I don't see any other options available. The auction can be found on Ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200944276474   Here is a picture of everything included.

It’s an early night for my kids

Elliott and Emmett have been up since 2am this morning.  I have no idea what's going on but Lizzy and I are getting less sleep than usual.  That's not good. Lizze has been sleeping on the couch because of these menopausal hot flashes. It's much cooler on the first floor and so that where she usually ends up lately.  At some point, Emmett climbs into bed with me and won't go to sleep unless he can put his arm around my neck. It's awfully sweet but incredibly uncomfortable.  I don't know why either of the boys woke up when they did but our goal is not to repeat this tonight. Emmett did take a brief nap this afternoon.  This nap was spent half on and half off the couch. This…

Nominate your favorite #Autism related song

I thought this would be really cool.  There are songs out there that were seemingly written for the Autism community and while they may not have intended that, it still works. Here's what I thought we could do.  Copy and paste the YouTube url of the song you think is the best, most inspirational Autism related song, into the LiveFyre comment box.  You can probably accomplish the same thing via the Google+ comment box as well. I'll do my best to tally up all the votes and take the most popular entries and let the community vote on there favorite.  If your song is already posted, simply like the post or +1 it in the case of Google+. In the end there can only be one.  I'll leave this open…
