Elliott brought this home from school today.  Lizze has been worried about Elliott's propensity to write things as though it's a mirrored image.  He's been doing this on and off for a few years now.  No one's been really concerned and everyone tells me that it's common, even in 1st grade. I have not been focusing on this too much, as I was told not to worry.. Lizze on the other hand, has stood her ground and remained concerned. As a victim of two spite calls so far this year, I'm left with a new perspective as well as with one burning question. Should the people that are making these ridiculous accusations, be held accountable for their actions? I'm sure there will be two schools of thought on this. The first one will likely come from those who have never been the victim of a spite call.  The truth is, this argument makes a great deal of sense as well.  If we hold people accountable or require these people to identify themselves with each complaint they make, we will likely discourage people from reporting things in general. I had a phone meeting with the Director of the Autism Society of Greater Akron this morning.  We were discussing the setup of a parent group in Canton, Ohio. My thought would be to run a group in a very similar fashion to what I do on this site or Facebook page. I would want this to be something that actually benefits the parents. Today has not gone well. Emmett refused to go to school this morning.  We had to physically  carry him to and from the van. He's not complaining about his mouth hurting so we wanted him to go. One of the things that worry us is that he will miss to much school, as a result and since there is no medical reason to keep him home, we are trying to send him to school. When we got to the school, his teacher was able to get him excited about being there and all was once again right with the world. Have I said how much I love Summit Academy? While we were at Dr.  Patti's tonight, we learned the nature of the CPS inquiries about Lizze and I.  Basically what happened was someone filed a complaint about me because of a blog post I wrote last month.  I don't even remember what the whole post was about but it was one that I shared that sometimes I feel like I can't go on. The second post was one in which I expressed that I was frustrated and angry with Gavin because of his behaviors that day.  The context of that post was that I was trying to help people understand that it's okay to feel these things.  What matters the most is how you choose to deal with those feelings.  This is not an uncommon message to read here.…
