I wanted everyone to know that we finished up our board meeting at the Autism Society of Greater Akron and made it back in time to get to my Dad's surprise 60th birthday party. While I can't go into specifics but I will say that our board is comprised of some truly amazing and passionate people. Today's a pretty big day for me.  I will be attending the Strategic Planning Meeting of the Autism Society of Greater Akron this morning.  I've never been to one of these but both myself and my new friend Mike are Ambassadors to Stark County.  Originally, we were both going to be sitting on the Board of Directors/Advisory Committee but that's been tabled for now.  I'd be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed but it makes more sense to do things this way, at least for now.  We are going to be meeting in Fairlawn from 9am - 1pm. I've been talking about this for the last week or so. Gavin's been having problems in Math class.  He gets frustrated for some reason and we haven't been able to get him to explain exactly what's going on.  We've spoken with his teachers and they assure us he's doing fine. Having said that, he's losing behavioral points because of this frustration, so whether or not his teachers say he's doing fine, clearly something is going on.  I sat him down after school today and recorded him (with his permission) explaining what happened today in Math class.  While it's still frustrating trying to talk to him about this, he actually did a pretty good job or explaining himself this time.  The reason I wanted to share this is because it's important…

The boys were up way, way too early this morning.  Emmett for one was in a really bad mood.  To be honest, I don't even know what they were fighting about but I believe this was mostly one sided and coming from Emmett.  Elliott did pretty well with Emmett pushing his buttons but before long, the screaming back and forth began.  Like I said, I have no idea what was going on but their routine had changed last night and perhaps that was responsible.  Netflix was down for us since yesterday afternoon.  It's fixed now but it was unavailable at bedtime and when they woke up this morning.
