Gavin has his weekly bloodwork this afternoon as a result of the anti-psychotic clozapine.. There are going to be a few more vials drawn today then usual because the gastro is going to check for celiac markers and a few other things as well.  I suggested we wait to do this until today so that it could all be done in one stick instead of making him endure 2 separate blood draws. Gavin is still doing OK with the bloodwork. Although, lately he does add a bit of drama to the mix. However, we are light years ahead of where we were last year. It used to take up to 9 people to get the blood. It was very stressful for Gavin and everyone else involved. So great job Gavin…

We all know that kids say the darnedest things. However, ASD kids can sometimes say the most inappropriate things you can imagine. It's not that they are mean, it's just a lack of filter.......thing.  I thought it could be fun to share some of these moments with each other. As you may or may not be aware of, we are in the process of having to locating 2 new schools. What's that you say? We already have enough on our plates?  Ding Ding, we have a winner. You are absolutely correct but we have little choice in the matter. Elliott's previous school has decided that they cannot educate a child with Autism. In a last ditch effort to try to talk to someone about it I sent a certified letter. My emails and phone calls have gone unreturned and my face to face attempts to talk to someone have been fruitless. The really frustrating part is that our hands are pretty much tied unless we move. I was up with Emmett most of the night. At some point he spiked a fever. This may explain why he been so upset the last day or so. Maybe he just hasn't been feeling well as that would explain a lot. He actually hasn't been sick in over a month, so this is pretty good for him. Alright, Gavin has almost 20 pairs of socks and yet this happens. I don't understand how he does this. So we asked him yesterday and this is what happened. Turns out he's doing this on purpose. He grabs his socks and twirls them around his finger. Eventually he wears them thin and they break through. Not sure what to say to that but this is what I did say. I explained to him that if he continues to destroy his clothes on purpose then he will have to use his own money to replace them when the time comes. He assured me that it would stop. Gavin is sick AGAIN tonight. I don't know what the heck is going on. We are calling the Gastro first thing in the morning. I think they are going to do a second bowel prep. They said that he was so backed up that a second round may be needed. Something has to give because he can't keep going on like this. We need to get him some relief. Hopefully we can do that tomorrow. I wish I knew WTF was going on because he should not be getting sick like this everyday....

This morning Elliott and I went to my parents house for brunch. Everyone else stayed back due to not feeling well. Elliott and I had fun and brunch was really good.
