Today’s Victory: 02/21/2012

Today's Victory is brought to you by Emmett and Elliott. Despite all their fighting and with neither one of then feeling well, they managed to spend some quality time together. The PS3 seems to bring them together. While this didn't last very long, it's still a victory in my book and I'm choosing to celebrate it.

Nope….No #Autism Here

So I tought I would add to the Nope...No Autism Here posts. Emmett had a huge meltdown today because one of the suckers he got after therapy had a hole in it. Now this sucker wasn't even his. He had picked that sucker out for Elliott. He just screamed and screamed, for what seemed like forever. All of this was over a sucker with a hole in it, that wasn't even his. All I have to say is Nope....No Autism Here.

Say hello to #Autism Awareness

As many of you are aware of,  the Lost and Tired family was very recently in the paper. However,  what I didn't know at the time was that we actually made the front page.  We literally almost took up the entire front page.  Since we don't get the paper,  we had no idea until my parents told me. Lizze and I had assumed that the article would be buried somewhere in the paper and not easy to find.  This was quite a surprise. I wanted to share this with you folks. Say hello to Autism Awareness :-) **Thanks for reading**        -Lost and Tired Please join our Community Autism Support Forum Posted from WordPress for Android so please forgive the typos. Four more….

In about 2 hours the appointments for the day begin.  Lizze will get things started for us this morning. Shortly after that,  Emmett will get his turn with OT and Speech this afternoon. Tonight Emmett has therapy with Dr.  Pattie. Thankfully,  that should be it for the day. Tomorrow will bring with it a return to Akron Children's Hospital,  only this time it will be Elliott's turn at the Rheumatologist. I hope everyone has as good a day as possible.  :-)  Best wishes to all of you. **Thanks for reading**        -Lost and Tired Please join our Community Autism Support Forum Posted from WordPress for Android so please forgive the typos. Terrible Tuesday

Well,  we have manic Mondays and the only thing I could think for Tuesday was Terrible Tuesday. On days like today,  terrible is a pretty accurate description. Elliott is sick,  Emmett is in a flare and Gavin has already had at least one meltdown this morning. Gavin,  decided that he didn't want to go to school today.  Typically,  we keep him home from school after an infusion but he's been doing just fine the last couple of times. Something else is going on with him today. I just don't know what that something is.......yet. **Thanks for reading**        -Lost and Tired Please join our Community Autism Support Forum Posted from WordPress for Android so please forgive the typos. Can’t win for trying

Well,  tonight is going to be fun.  I went to check on the boys before bed and Elliott has spiked a fever.  He's all congested and at about 102°f. Lizze called him off for tomorrow as he is running a fever.  Hopefully,  he will feel better soon. We just finished up the rest of his makeup work tonight before bed. Man alive,  we just can't win for trying.  :-( **Thanks for reading**        -Lost and Tired Please join our Community Autism Support Forum Posted from WordPress for Android so please forgive the typos. Stealing from a special needs family: Breaking In

I wanted to update everyone on the last little bit of drama surrounding the theft of the Lost and Tired family van. A few days ago,  we came home and found that the deadbolt on the front door had been tampered with. The face plate was all scratched up and our wasn't working well and the barrel was jamming. What clearly happened is that someone tried forcing the wrong key in the deadbolt.  I would assume it was the same people that stole our van and kept the house key. That's the only thing that makes any sense. It wasn't Lizze or myself.  That's all we know for sure,  aside from the fact that whoever did this,  didn't make it in. This doesn't really change anything as we knew that…

It’s about freaking time

As you know,  Emmett went to the Rheumatologist this morning at Akron Children's Hospital.  The concern was Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis.  While the blood work is pending and we should have the results next week,  he does not appear to have JRA.  I can't explain just how awesome this news is.  This never happens to us.  We hardly ever get good news from a doctor. This time it appears to be a different scenario. He had to have blood work done but they are not expecting any to turn up.  What an awesome way to start this crazy,  crazy week. Thank you for all your kind words,  thoughts and prayers.  My heart goes out to all of you out there who are dealing with any type of arthritis. **Thanks for reading**…
