The Lost and Tired family is no stranger to aggression.  We've been dealing with it for years and years. However,  no matter how long you've been dealing with aggression, it never gets any easier. Emmett is the aggressor in the family at this point in time.  He's lashing out more and more often,  for seemingly no reason at all.  I know communication plays a role in this,  but I don't know how much.  Today alone,  Emmett injured Gavin at least 3 or 4 times by throwing objects at him. Elliott shares a very similar experience as Gavin but seems to be Emmett's primary target. I think Elliott is the main target because of how dramatically he reacts to Emmett. Emmett is a great kid and I love him dearly but…

This is something that has recently hit the Lost and Tired family and so I'm curious as to just how common this is. How many of you have had to battle insurance for the services your kids need? During the day he can be a hellian but at night he's peaceful and sweet.  I've said this many times before but I'll say it again and again. These are the moments I live for.  They help me get through the really trying times and give me the strength to get up the next day and keep trying. Nothing is ever easy but these moments are sooooooooooo worth the effort in between. It's been a minute since I last updated you on how Elliott was doing with his anxiety. Well, I can sum it up for you in two words, not good. I don't think the Risperdal is working.  We likely need to adjust the dose. His anxiety is through the roof.  He cries over everything anymore. It's not like he's being defiant,  it's more panic or simply his body purging. I don't think he has any control over this, at least most of the time.  That said,  he's driving me crazy. He's been waking up way to early and unable to go back to sleep. I know Emmett’s aggressiveness isn't helping matters either. The fact that Elliott is his main target just makes things worse for him. Today's Victory is brought to you by all three Lost and Tired boys.  Typically,  I have a very difficult time getting the boys to eat their fruit or veggies. Today the boys ate fruit salad with their dinner.  We had mango,  apples, bananas, strawberries, blueberries and raspberries.  Even Emmett got in on eating the fruit salad.  His favorite was the mango and he ate a few pieces. This is Elliott's rendition of Link from the Legend of Zelda in Lego's. You'll also notice that Elliott's left eye has a yellow circle around it.  If you look closely,  you can see just how close he came to losing his eyes yesterday.  Bella went into hyper mode and jumped up on the couch not realizing Elliott was laying there.  She landed right on his face and he just happened to be in mid blink when it happened. Emmett wants to share his bling with all of you. A few months ago I bought these magnetic marbles and Emmett just loves them. Emmett doesn't put things like that in his mouth so I feel comfortable that he's safe with them. However,  we do supervise him anyway because we don't want to take any chances. Emmett's favorite thing to make with these magnets is his necklace.  He also has to have what he calls a shiny on his necklace as well.  The shiny is the little circle shaped thing that hangs down like a pendant.
