Today marks Gavin’s first official day of homeschooling or home instruction. Because his health is fragile,  his doctor has pulled him from school and we subsequently set up home instruction,  to finish out the year. He's excited about going because Gavin’s one of those kids that really likes school. He will be meeting his teacher at the local library for 2.5 hours this morning.  She will spend that time teaching and then assign him homework for the week. I'm hoping this works out well for him and doesn't end in disaster. I realized this my sound like a silly but it's a serious question.  However does your child with #Autism,  handle temperature change? For example,  when it's really hot outside,  do they struggle with sensory issues relating to the heat?  Does there same thing happen with the cold weather as well? The reason I'm asking is that I have noticed that my kids seem ton struggle with temperature change. They get really cranky and tend to act out more.  I have always assumed it was sensory related or that they were just less tolerant of the changes in temperature. The screaming has already begun. Emmett is screaming over everything. I was wondering what you experience as far as screaming goes with your child on the #Autism spectrum? Does there seem to be a cause?  Do you think it's all sensory related? Well,  my back is officially out of commission.  I haven't been able to get away and walk for a very long time now. The only thing keeping the pain at bay was the walking.  The back story For those that don't know the back story - ha ha,  get it,  backstory- here's the dime store version. Back in August of 2001, I was finishing up paramedic school. I was doing ride time with one of the local departments.  One afternoon we went on a run.  The call was for a young woman,  28 weeks pregnant.  She had started to hemorage. As I mentioned earlier today,  my mother was taken to the hospital this morning and has since been admitted.  She is currently in the cardiac unit and undergoing testing. She was walking this morning and had what seemed like an asthma attack.  She apparently had another episode later on and her breathing was labored.  She was taken to the ER and is getting a full cardiac work up.  She may be home sometime tomorrow night.  I would really appreciate your thoughts and prayers for her.  Hopefully,  this proves to be nothing serious or at the very least,  treatable. Emmett John has woken up from his nap and is in a really bad mood.  Elliott is not allowed to talk,  if he does Emmett just screams.  We have told Emmett at Elliott is allowed to talk but it's not making a difference. Thankfully,  Elliott isn't in a very talkative mood or things would be worse. Gavin is still sleeping so I'm going to have to wake him up soon. He would sleep all day if we didn't intervene and I mean that literally. The screaming has got to stop because it's very slowly eroding away what's left of my sanity. I can't imagine how Lizze feels with her migraine.  :-( As long as everyone is quite,  Emmett is calm.  So, my goal is keep the house as calm and…
