Gavin: A behavioral update

The last day or so,  Gavin has been doing pretty well.  We haven't had a meltdown in 48 hours. That's a positive thing and I'll take it. On the 22nd,  Gavin will be at the Cleveland Clinic to meet with one of their psychiatrists.  We're hoping to gain some more insight into what makes him tic. For right now,  I'll take whatever good days I can get.  After all, beggars can't be choosers. :-) **Thanks for reading**        -Lost and Tired Please join our Autism Help Forum Look for "Autism Help" app at the Google Play Store This was posted via WordPress for Android, courtesy of Samsung's Galaxy S III. Please keep Bella in your thoughts this morning

Ms.  Bella goes back to the Vet’s office at 9am. This time with the hopes of actually getting the stitches, what's left of them,  removed. It's been a long 10 days,  with many trips back and forth. I can't wait to get these friggin things out of her and get back to normal. She wants so badly to run and play.  I want so badly to let her.  :-) **Thanks for reading**        -Lost and Tired Please join our Autism Help Forum Look for "Autism Help" app at the Google Play Store This was posted via WordPress for Android, courtesy of Samsung's Galaxy S III. Lizze’s journey begins soon

After a great deal of time and effort,  I finally managed to get Lizze into the Cleveland Clinic for both the autonomic stuff,  as well as the migraines. I will also be making an appointment with rheumatology,  for the Fibromyalgia. It's high time we focused on Lizze and her quality of life.  It's going to require some sacrifice but she is soooooo worth it.  Her first appointment will be in September. I'm so excited to get this going and maybe,  just maybe,  she will start to feel better. **Thanks for reading**        -Lost and Tired Please join our Autism Help Forum Look for "Autism Help" app at the Google Play Store This was posted via WordPress for Android, courtesy of Samsung's Galaxy S III. #Autistic Artwork: Sonic

Gavin has had a really good day.  When he puts all his energy to good use,  than he can accomplish pretty amazing things. Today he focused his energy on his drawing.  As you likely already know,  he is obsessed with Sonic the Hedgehog and has been for most of his life. Today he drew some game cases for two different Sonic games.  He did these freehand and nothing was traced. I think this is really impressive,  especially considering how much his hands shake anymore.  Great job Gavin,  you had a great day and drew some great pictures.  :-) **Thanks for reading**        -Lost and Tired Please join our Autism Help Forum Look for "Autism Help" app at the Google Play Store This was posted via WordPress for Android,…

Absolute Anxiety

Elliott is having a really rough time.  He's so tightly wound right now that he freaks out over everything.  Lizze and I have spent all day putting out fires,  figuratively of course. He's crying over every little thing. Once he gets going,  he carries on perpetually. There is a huge difference between what he's doing compared to just being difficult.  My heart goes out to him because he is really struggling.  Having said that,  he absolutely tries my patience.  If he's not crying about something,  he literally bouncing off of everything going else. These anxiety medications can't come soon enough.  I would love to get this back under control before school starts. I think would be in his best interest.  **Thanks for reading**        -Lost and Tired Please…

9 days and counting

In 9 days I will turn 34 years old.  I feel so much older than that.  I think that I've experienced things in my 34 years that most people will never experience in a lifetime.  That's not necessarily a good thing either. I have a number of goals for this new chapter in my life. Over the next week or so,  I'll share those goals with all of you. Some are pretty lofty and others are kinda lame.  Either way,  they are things that I want to accomplish at some point during the 34th chapter of my life.  **Thanks for reading**        -Lost and Tired Please join our Autism Help Forum Look for "Autism Help" app at the Google Play Store This was posted via WordPress for Android,…

I don’t see no stinkin’ veggies

The other day, I shared with you a bit about my super awesome, ultra healthy chicken noodle soup (see Can you see the veggies?). I explained that I was able to cram in a crap load of super healthy veggies and super picky kids will still eat it.  I was mostly successful. Emmett and Gavin inhaled the soup and even had seconds. Elliott sat and whined because he was not having a good day and honestly, would have thumbed his nose up at McDonald's in that moment. I captured the amazing success with Emmett on film and I wanted to share with you how much he actually enjoyed his chicken noodle soup. Keep in mind that the following veggies were physically present in the soup that the worlds pickiest eater, Emmett,…
