Please keep Emmett in your thoughts

Please keep Mr.  Emmett John in your thoughts and prayers again.  He's hit another flare up,  the second one this month.  He has sores on the inside of his little cheeks and he's in a lot of discomfort.  If you're thinking to yourself, didn't he just get over one,  the answer is, yes he did. Occasionally this happens and he ends up having back to back flare ups.  Thankfully,  it doesn't happen all the time.  If you could just keep him in your thoughts and prayers, I would be very grateful.  :-( **Thanks for reading**        -Lost and Tired Please join our Autism Help Forum Look for "Autism Help" app at the Google Play Store This was posted via WordPress for Android, courtesy of Samsung's Galaxy S III.…

What do you do for yourself?

We all know how time consuming parenting can be but even more so with special needs parenting. Raising a child on the #Autism also requires a great deal of sacrifice as well. It's easy to lose oneself in our day to day lives. Having said that,  I was wondering if there was at least one thing you do for yourself? Personally,  I enjoy walking in the evening.  It doesn't always happen but I try to do that for myself as often as possible. I also enjoy playing video games on occasion.  I think that's it's important to have something that you do for yourself. Life can be very stressful but taking time to do something for yourself, can help you better cope. So,  my question is,  what if anything do…

Me and my boys :-)

I don't have very many pictures with me in it because I'm always the one taking the picture.  However, this is one of my all time favorite pictures.  I don't even remember where we were at,  aside from in the van.  It's just me and my boys.  It's not to often that all three are in the same picture,  let alone,  like this.   I keep this with me all the time and look at it often.  :-) **Thanks for reading**        -Lost and Tired Please join our Autism Help Forum Look for "Autism Help" app at the Google Play Store This was posted via WordPress for Android, courtesy of Samsung's Galaxy S III. People ask me why I do all this…..

So many times I'm asked, why I do this? I know that from the outside, it seems like there's a great deal of struggle.  Truthfully,  there is and sometimes it really feels like I'm in way over my head.  However,  I'll share with you all, what I say to those that ask.  The answer is very,  very simple.  I do this and everything else in my life, for my wife and kids.  All the struggle is washed away,  when I tuck my kids I at night and see this........ Getting to have these truly peaceful moments, at the end of every day,  makes everything make sense.  :-) **Thanks for reading**        -Lost and Tired Please join our Autism Help Forum Look for "Autism Help" app at the Google…

The Lighter Side of #Autism: Back to “Normal”

Today things seemed to be getting back to normal,  whatever that is.  With Bella being fully recovered,  she's back to looking after the boys, without hurting herself.  :-) This afternoon Bella snuggled on the couch with one Mr.  Elliott Richard during nap time. It was nice to see everything settling down.  :-) **Thanks for reading**        -Lost and Tired Please join our Autism Help Forum Look for "Autism Help" app at the Google Play Store This was posted via WordPress for Android, courtesy of Samsung's Galaxy S III. A weekend without stress

Gavin has been gone for only a few hours but the overall stress level in the house is decreased. The boys are more relaxed and went to bed without any problems. I hate the fact that this is actually the case but it is what it is.  I plan on making the best of this weekend and at the same time,  trying not to feel guilty... **Thanks for reading**        -Lost and Tired Please join our Autism Help Forum Look for "Autism Help" app at the Google Play Store This was posted via WordPress for Android, courtesy of Samsung's Galaxy S III. Seen any sensory friendly movies lately?

Thinking about taking Elliott and Emmett to a movie tonight.  I was wondering is anyone has seen any movies with their kids lately that worked out well? I was looking at maybe Madagascar 3, or something like that.  Thoughts and ideas would be greatly appreciated.  :-) **Thanks for reading**        -Lost and Tired Please join our Autism Help Forum Look for "Autism Help" app at the Google Play Store This was posted via WordPress for Android, courtesy of Samsung's Galaxy S III. Do you feel guilty sending your kids away?

I was just wondering if you ever feel guilty sending your kids away to family or even respite,  in order to get a break? Personally,  I feel guilty at times because I feel like I'm letting them down and that I should not need breaks.  However,  logically I know that there is nothing wrong with getting or needing a break,  even if it's from my kids. This came up today because we are getting Gavin out of the house for the weekend.  He's going to Lizze's parents tons pending some time with them. This will give the entire house a break from the constant blanket of stress that we are under when he is here. Personally,  I don't feel guilty for needing a break.  However,  Lizze feels horrible about wanting…
