The walls must be made of rubber

The walls must be made of rubber, because the boys and bouncing off of them today, like it's nobody's business. The exception is Gavin, who is actually well behaved this morning. Emmett is so far over the edge that my only goal for today is to survive it. Good Lord,  he is all over the place. Thankfully, it's just about time for naps and Mommy and Daddy might get break and maybe,  just maybe, get to close our eyes for a bit. I missed you too much Daddy

I woke up to a phone call shortly after 5am this morning. Apparently,  Emmett woke up around 4:30am crying that he wanted to come home. Needless to say, the day began insanely early today. When Emmett's arrived home, shortly after 6am, I asked him what was wrong.  He told me that he woke up and wanted to come home. I asked him why he wanted to come home? All he said was,  I missed you too much Daddy. That was totally worth getting up early for.  :-) This was posted via WordPress for Android, courtesy of Samsung’s Galaxy S III. #Autistic Creations: The Portal 2 Gun

Gavin created his version of the Portal 2 gun. He whipped this up after school on Friday. It's pretty clever.  This was posted via WordPress for Android, courtesy of Samsung’s Galaxy S III. The race is on

Gavin drew this at school yesterday .  He drew the same thing the day before. I don't know why he's drawing it over and over but he seems to enjoy it and I suppose that what counts.  :-) This was posted via WordPress for Android, courtesy of Samsung’s Galaxy S III. I know what it feels like to be a car

I know what it feels like to be a car now.  Only Gavin is behind the wheel and he's driving me to crazytown. I'm trying so hard to be patient with him but he's not listening. He keeps claiming to forget.  I suppose it's possible but he could also be trying to play me. Tonight I have resorted to sending him to his room to read for a little while. This is allowing to avoid crazytown for just a hit longer.  I fear that this is just a detour on the way and I will eventually arrive at my destination. I hope there's a pool.  :-(  This was posted via WordPress for Android, courtesy of Samsung’s Galaxy S III. Please forgive any typos. I do know how to spell but…

3 kids -1 kid = 2 kids

Tonight,  Emmett will be spending the night with Lizze's parents.  He'll be leaving in a little bit and likely to have lots of fun. That means we will only have 2 kids tonight. Elliott and I have plans for this evening and Gavin was not a candidate to go because both behavioral and health reasons.  I've promised Elliott some Portal 2 time tonight and he's really looking forward to that.  The way that works is that he gets ready for bed and takes his meds.  We play Portal 2 until he gets sleepy,  which is typically 30 after taking his melatonin.  He values the time and so do I.  I look forward to having some quality Portal 2 time with Elliott tonight.  :-) This was posted via WordPress for Android,…

Our little emergency

This morning,  while getting the boys ready for nap,  I looked out the window and saw one of the neighbors cats torturing a baby squirrel. I went outside to chase the cat away and rescue the baby squirrel.  I chased the cat away once but couldn't find the little victim. After going back into the house and getting back to work,  I noticed the cat was back and going to town on the tiny squirrel. I grabbed a towel and ran out after it once again.  This time I found the squirrel and scooped it up and brought it home. I've never seen a baby squirrel before and this guy was pretty tiny.  There was no obvious signs of blood or injury but it wasn't walking very well. I wasn't…

Dinner is on the stove

After getting Gavin off to school and dealing a little emergancy, the boys have eaten lunch and are off to nap. I'm working on a big pot of soup for dinner. I'll have a post up later about our little emergency and what actually happened etc. Right now I'm working on dinner,  writing and watching Supernatural. Dinner will be enjoyed by 4 of the 5 of us tonight.  Elliott will likely have chicken nuggets as he won't touch the soup.  That means I will be able to please 4 out of 5. I like those numbers. :-) This was posted via WordPress for Android, courtesy of Samsung’s Galaxy S III. Please forgive any typos. I do know how to spell but auto-correct hate me.
