That’s the goal

Good morning everyone. I hope your Sunday is a pleasant one. So far, Sunday has been pretty good to us. The boys are getting along, for the most part. Lizze is suffering a great deal this morning though. I'm going to try and keep this a very low key kinda day. Hopefully, I can get some writing and housework done this afternoon. That's the goal anyway. This site is managed via WordPress for Android, courtesy of the @SamsungMobileUS Galaxy Note 2 by @Tmobile. Please forgive any typos. Okay, that’s it

Until further notice, Lost and Tired will be discontinuing use of the LiveFyre commenting system and reverting back to Intensedebate. The issue is affecting a large portion of my readers, especially those using iOS devices like, the iPad and iPhone. Part of the issue has to do with CloudFlare incompatibilities with LiveFyre. While these are being worked on it's making commenting on this site impossible for some. I have to continue using CloudFlare because of the volume of traffic and subsequent load on the server. Thank you all for helping me work through this. If someone could test the new commenting system from an iOS device I would appreciate it. Please let me know if you have anymore problems. Please keep Lizze in your thoughts

I posted something on Lizze's blog earlier about this and I wanted to say something here as well. I'm asking that you please keep Lizze in your thoughts and prayers. She's not doing well emotionally or physically. To be completely honest, I've never seen her this bad. Her pain is absolutely out of control and there is nothing we can do. I left a message for the Chronic Pain Rehabilitation Program and I'm waiting to hear back. At the moment, the program is open to her however, we are still waiting on insurance to approve or deny coverage for this program. I'm to the point where I willing to explore other options while we wait to find out from insurance. I'm kicking around a few ideas but I don't know…

#Autism and the Birthday Party

Yesterday was Gavin's 13th birthday. His grandparents, whom he's living with right now, threw a party at a local Pizza Hut this afternoon. Gavin invited his classmates and it was his very first boy/girl party. He seemed to have a lot of fun and Lizze really enjoyed talking with the other moms. Emmett was so cute because he was all about Gavin today and Gavin's friends were really good with his high level of enthusiasm. :-) Elliott on the other hand was overwhelmed by party and was still overstimulated from his flu shot. Because of that, we ended up leaving early so we could get him home. It was really nice to see Gavin doing so well. I hung out with Lizze's dad and shot the breeze. My mom was…

Operation Flu #Vaccine 2013: Successful

I wanted to let everyone know that the boys have been successfully vaccinated for the 2013 flu season. Our pediatricians office was holding a flu clinic and there was a huge turn out. Emmett was able to receive the nasal mist. Elliott on the other hand needed the shot because he has asthma and asthma and the nasal mist don't play well together. Despite Elliott being nervous, he did really well and I'm really proud of him for being so brave. Emmett wasn't nervous at all and did great as well. I'm really glad that the turnout was so good. The more people vaccinated, the better the vaccine work.

Operation Flu Shot 2013

This morning we are on a mission to get the boys their flu shot. I'm a firm believer in vaccinating my boys in order to protect then from deadly diseases that are now in the rise and claiming the life of way too many children. This year, the flu is a huge problem and Lizze and I have protected the boys by getting the flu shot ourselves and now its their turn. I don't think that this is going to go over very well but it's a very necessary evil, especially with Elliott's asthma and Gavin's compromised immune system. I'll let you know how it goes.

Annoying but still sweet

Lately, Bella has been kinda annoying. I know that its because she's not being worked enough but it's still pretty annoying. However, she's still a sweetheart.  Oddly enough, she's not very big. She's actually a year old now and still pretty small. Lizze thinks that she may have been the runt of the litter. Who the hell knows. She's healthy and that's what matters. :-)
