I woke up this morning to Elliott screaming at Lizze and refusing to get ready for school. He's been doing this more and more often.  Nothing is going on at school, so that's not an issue. It's like anytime that we ask Elliott to do something that he doesn't want to, he completely freaks out. Sound like anyone else we know? I have no idea what to do aside from holding him accountable for choices.  The big triggers are asking him to get dressed or undressed.  We want him to change out of his school clothes after school and he refuses.. Ya know, as a parent raising 3 boys with special needs, it's very tough for me to know where "normal kid behaviors"  fit into any of this.  Is this…

Emmett’s been up for awhile already.  Why?  Because now it's apparently his turn to be sick.  Right now it's pretty minor and just a runny nose. Having said that, for a child like Emmett, with Autism and Sensory Processing Disorder, a runny nose is a really big deal. He hates the feeling of his nose leaking and this will put him in a pretty foul mood.  I'm pretty sure this is a sensory and something we will continue to work on. Does something as simple as a runny nose, drive your sensory sensitive child crazy? Is there anything you have found that helps?
