What I learned from Spiderman

For whatever reason, Emmett decided that he was going to dress up as Spiderman today. Everywhere we went today, he was Spiderman.....and I mean everywhere. I'm of the opinion that I was lucky to be in the presence of Spiderman today.  Emmett was so cute and so happy being Spiderman today.  Who was I to take that away from him.  He wasn't hurting anyone, unless you were a bad guy at which point he trap you with his webshooters. Other than that, he wasn't hurting anyone.  :-) I look at it like this. Can it be weird walking into a store while Emmett was in his costume? Sure.  Do people stare at me like I'm crazy for letting him out of the house like that? Of course they did. However,…

Thirty Day Water Challenge: Day 2

I just finished up day 2 of the Thirty Day Water Challenge.  Today I drank about 64 oz of the clear stuff and stayed away from anything else.  The whole point is to drink only water for 30 days. So far so good.   This site is managed via WordPress for Android, courtesy of the @SamsungMobileUS Galaxy Note 2 by @Tmobile. Please forgive any typos. Operation Hope: Where is Gavin?

It's been awhile since I have updated you all on how Gavin is doing. I don't talk very often about him right now because I have mixed feelings about this whole thing.  When you find yourself faced with having to choose between one of your kids and the rest of your family, the line between right and wrong becomes so blurred that it essentially disappears. The fact that Gavin is my adopted son doesn't make these decisions any easier, I assure you.  Gavin's been living with his Grandparents for about 4 months now.  For all intents and purposes, he doing really well.  Recently, even his health seems to have settled down, at least to my knowledge.  I hate saying,  at least to my knowledge.  I feel like I should know…

Thirty Day Water Challenge: Day 1

I've made it through the very first day of the Thirty Days of Water Challenge. Yesterday I drank only water. By the end of the first day, I had consumed roughly 64 oz of H2O. The goal of this challenge is to drink only water for thirty days in a row. I've always been a big milk drinker so this is a bit of a challenge for me personally.  However, this is a simple way to start improving my health and I'm giving it my all.  Day 1 down,  29 to go.  :-) This site is managed via WordPress for Android, courtesy of the @SamsungMobileUS Galaxy Note 2 by @Tmobile. Please forgive any typos. Overstimulation? What the heck is that?

Overstimulation? What the heck is that? Tonight marks the end of a very long 4 day weekend.  This weekend was filled with lots of play and excitement for the boys.  On Saturday, the boys played all day with their cousins from Colorado.  They had so much fun.  I wish their cousins lived closer so that they could play more often.  Today, the boys spent time with my parents.  They had tons of fun and came home exhausted and ready to eat dinner.  All of this was great but it did unfortunately, lead to both boys but especially Emmett, being completely overstimulated. Overstimulation historically leads to meltdowns and out evening was full of them. For those of you new to the Autism game, let me try to explain what overstimulation is…

@MobileFun Slim Carbon Fiber Flip Case for the Galaxy Note 2 (Review)

Slim Carbon Fiber Flip Case for the Galaxy Note 2 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YYUh-Hls8-o I was lucky enough to be sent the Slim Carbon Fiber Flip Case to review. This Samsung Galaxy Note 2, courtesy ofMobileFun.com. This is a very nice and professional looking case. It actually protects the amazing Galaxy Note 2, without causing the little scuffs and scratches that can be cause by other cases. The case itself is about $27 shipped from the UK. This is a really good price, especially for being internationally shipped.

Engaging the Tech Community and spreading #Autism Awareness

In an effort to further spread #Autism Awareness into the general public and provide my readers with products that can benefit their families, I will be reviewing more and more tech products and hosting more giveaways. This may sound a bit off topic but there is a huge tech community out there. If the point of Autism Awareness is to help educate the public and show them what Autism is like in real life, then we need to engage with influential groups of people on a personal level. I have found amazing success with this approach. However, since I have stopped actively developing ROM's for Android powered Smartphones, I feel like I've lost touch with that community. The Android community has been hugely supportive of my quest to spread Autism…
