What’s your favorite thing to do with you kids?

As a parent, one of the things I like most,  is the moments like this.  Do you have a favorite thing to do with your kids? The 5am wake up call

I received a rude awakening this morning, literally. It was around 5 am and the boys were fighting over something.  I didn't even know they were awake and they were already fighting. Apparently, now is as good a time as any to start the day on the wrong foot. #Autistic Lego Creations: Mario

Yesterday, Emmett built a Super Mario Brother's character, more specifically, Mario himself.  He did this with one of his favorite mediums, Legos. He's so proud of this little Mario and I'm proud of his use of imagination.  :-) This site is managed via WordPress for Android, courtesy of the @SamsungMobileUS Galaxy Note 2 by @Tmobile. Please forgive any typos. Sometimes bad news can be good

Sometimes bad news can have a way of making you feel better. In this case, it makes me feel a bit less crazy. I realize that's sounds counter intuitive  so let me explain. For a really long time, especially with Gavin, it was so incredibly frustrating that he would behave the way he did at home but when at a relatives house, we get a report of great behavior when he returns. The truth is, his behavior wasn't perfect and he had problems. However, our family felt guilty telling us that.  They didn't want us to feel bad. That was really sweet of them.  However, this didn't have the intended impact on Lizze and I.  Instead, it made us feel like we were crazy.  Sometimes as parents, we need someone…

Can anyone tell me what this is?

This is exactly the kind of day I'm having.  This is one of the few physical possessions I had.  I used this every single day.  Can you tell me what it is? We have the weirdest cat ever

Sometimes it's nice just to change trains for a little while and jump aboard the one going to the town of Off Topic. :-) Even our pets are unique...... Blue, Emmett's cat has this obsession with massaging the dogs.  That's right, you heard me correctly.  He massages the friggin dogs.  I've never seen anything like that before.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DEhANUeQz1c This site is managed via WordPress for Android, courtesy of the @SamsungMobileUS Galaxy Note 2 by @Tmobile. Please forgive any typos. How’s your weekend going?

Lizze is spending time with her aunt this morning.  The boys have been fighting for most of the morning and Elliott has been in extreme whiney mode.  I actually have them getting along right now as they are playing n+ together on the XBoX.  Elliott is starting to whine because he wants to play more by himself but Emmett is just happy to be playing.  Elliott is far and away our most challenging child at the moment.  Despite everything though, we have lived to fight another day.  That's a very positive thing. :-) This site is managed via WordPress for Android, courtesy of the @SamsungMobileUS Galaxy Note 2 by @Tmobile. Please forgive any typos. Confessions of an #Autism Dad: My Fears

I wanted to share this blog that I did while waiting to pick up Elliott at school on Friday. It's about 10 minutes and I talk about the wraparound process and I also share my biggest fears about this whole thing.  I like doing this videos because it's easier sometimes to speak than write.  I just need to get better at it.  :-) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c2iNawOUS7k This site is managed via WordPress for Android, courtesy of the @SamsungMobileUS Galaxy Note 2 by @Tmobile. Please forgive any typos.
