In the morning, I will be taking Gavin for his IVIG infusion that he missed last week when he went into another Autonomic Crisis.  My extreme hope is that Gavin will make it through this without any trouble.  He's been through too much already and I want this to go smoothly for him.  If we do experience any trouble, at least we'll be in a good place.  Please keep Gavin in your prayers today and he undergoes his antibody infusion. As a special needs parent, I know all too well the challenges faced by many of us on a daily basis. As a parent to three boys with special needs, I constantly worry about their future. I know that many of you out there, feel the same way. There's a reason I call this blog Lost and Tired. So often, I find myself overwhelmed and without help or a direction to go in. At the same time, I'm exhausted from trying to find that direction and seeing to all my children's needs. Yesterday was a particularly bad day for Lizze.  With the fluctuations in temperature and the rain, her fibromyalgia has been very difficult to manage. Most of the weekend required Lizze to use her cane to walk. Yesterday, when we were headed to the park, the boys helped Mommy walk out to the car. They were so gentle and patient, it was amazing to watch. We woke us this morning about the time Elliott should have been arriving at school. Needless to say, it's not a good way to start the week.  Thankfully, Elliott woke up in a good mood a s was able to get ready and out the door without much trouble. On Sunday, we took the boys to the playground to get some wiggles out.  The weather was unseasonably nice and we took advantage of it.  The boys had fun and so did Lizze and I.  Lizze mostly took pictures but she was able to push Emmett on the swing for a little bit.  He loved that.  Sunday was one of those days where Lizze needed a cane to help her walk. She did awesome and so did the kids.  We did however,  miss Gavin being there.  Elliott made it a point to share that with us.  Unfortunately, even if Gavin were there, his health wouldn't allow for him to play. :-( On a happier note, check out some of the pictures I snapped while we were out having fun.  :-)…

I realize that this post is unnecessary because I don't really have anything to prove to anyone.  Having said that, in the event that Gavin does read this Blogger at some point, I want to make a few things very clear.  Lizze and I love Gavin very, very much.  For the first 10 years of his life, we did everything we possibly could for him and still do to this day.  Things however, have changed because Gavin's behaviors present unique problems within our household. Having said that, we view Gavin and his behaviors as two separate things.  It's not Gavin's fault that any of these things are a part of his life.  I've prayed countless times to take his burden away and carry it myself.  Unfortunately, I can't do that. …

I wrote in an earlier post about how hard of a time Emmett has been having this past weekend. We tried taking advantage of the almost 70°F weather and got both him and Elliott to the playground. That worked for a short time but once we left, things went down hill again. After we got home, I decided to try redirecting Emmett by taking him and the tortoise outside in the the yard.  It was warm enough for a short trip for our yet to be officially named Russian Tortoise. Emmett actually had a good time and enjoyed watching him crawl around  in the grass.  Emmett informed me that he wanted to get fast candy for Christmas.  I asked him what that was and he explained that it's a power…
