Thou dost protest too much

I'm going to say this one more time, I HATE the new wordpress app for android.  This is now the 3rd attempt to update you all as to what happened at Lizze's OB/GYN appointment at the Cleveland Clinic. In a nutshell, Lizze loves her new doctor. The new doctor believes that Lizze is pre-menopausal  but there is also a chance it's PMDD. A ton of bloodwork was ordered and then subsequently drawn.  Lizze goes back in 4 weeks and we'll have a better idea of what's going on.  Here's where things got ugly.  Lizze's previous OB/GYN, the one that delivered both boys and preformed her two surgeries, including her hysterectomy, is refusing to turn over her records. I never shared this but Lizze went the other day to pick up…

We all have our roles to play

Lizze got called back and I sorta got bumped to the waiting room.  I figured I would go back while they talked but I guess I will be supportive from the waiting room.  :-) We all have our roles to play in life. Right now, mine is sitting in an uncomfortable chair listening to woman talk about things that would freak out most guys. :-( This site is managed via WordPress for Android, courtesy of the @SamsungMobileUS Galaxy Note 2 by @Tmobile. We just arrived at the @ClevelandClinic in our search for answers

Lizze and I finally arrived at Cleveland Clinic's Mayfield Heights location.  After some confusion over our insurance, we are waiting to be seen. Lizze is really, really  nervous and my trying to be funny is frustrating her a little bit.  For the record, I am funny.  :-)  It's how I sometimes deal with stress and anxiety.  I'm worried about her and really stressed out about everything.  As a result, I'm being extra funny and it's not helping things.  :-( Sorry Lizze.  :-( This site is managed via WordPress for Android, courtesy of the @SamsungMobileUS Galaxy Note 2 by @Tmobile. Today’s #Autism Discussion: Why does bath time have to suck so bad?

Perhaps this is a really dumb question, especially because I already know ow the answer.  However, I guess I'm more looking to hear others stories.  It's kind of like,  man, why does bath time have to suck so bad? I mean,  it's traumatizing for the kids on the spectrum, especially those with Autism and sensory issues.  Having said that, it can also be traumatic for the parents as well.  My kids will often scream as though they are being tortured. In all fairness, in their minds it might very well be torture.  Again I ask, we does bath time have to suck so bad? Thoughts? Comments? Stories?  Leave them below in the comments.   This site is managed via WordPress for Android, courtesy of the @SamsungMobileUS Galaxy Note 2 by @Tmobile.…

Our search for answers at the @ClevelandClinic

Today is the first of many appointments for this week.  In many ways, this is likely the most important one of the week as well. Shortly we will be heading to the Cleveland Clinic.  Lizze will be visiting a new OB/GYN to find out for sure if she's entering early menopause and if not, what's causing all the identical symptoms. The Cleveland Clinic has one of the top OB/GYN clinics in the country, so I'm confident that we can finally get a handle on what's going on. If she is indeed going through early menopause (which is something prominent in her family), that could explain much of what she's been suffering from.  I realize it's probably bad luck but to say this now but I think we may finally get…

Treasure hunting in the couch cushions

We are an outside the box kind of family. There is really nothing normal or typical about us. This also includes what we do for fun. Today is a perfect example. The boys have been begging me to clean out the couches.  They love to pull off the cushions and dig for treasure. Aside from all the trash and Cheerios, the boys find toys they've been missing and loose change they can claim for themselves.  It's literally like a treasure hunt for them. This is one of those weird kinda things that make us who we are.  I sometimes feel like I must be depriving them somehow if they find amusement in cleaning out the couches. You know, like how boring their life must be, if the highlight of their…
