When the light at the end of the tunnel is a train

I've been absent today, at least as far as blogging is concerned. The truth is that we have had the today end on a really bad note. This afternoon while I was at speech and OT with the boys, Lizze got some very disturbing/concerning news.  Her new OB/GYN at the Cleveland Clinic sent her an email with some lab results from Mondays blood work.... The was told to contact the clinic and make an appointment for two weeks from now and they would explain further. Late this afternoon we got a call back from the doctors office.  They wanted to explain in further detail what was going on and what the lab results mean. I'll do my best to explain this to you but please keep in mind that I'm…

The impromptu trip to the playground

I took Emmett to the park for some Fit4Autism exercise, after we left Dr. Patti's office this morning.  We walked the track and got some wiggles out.  Emmett had to stop and try out all the exercise equipment, so our 1.77 mile walk, took us about an hour.  He did really awesome.  We had an impromptu stop at the playground along the way. He played really well with the other kids. He also made me carry him on my shoulders while jogging for about the last 1/4 mile.  :-(  It was a ton of fun and we even got a chance to talk about some things.  This site is managed via WordPress for Android, courtesy of the @SamsungMobileUS Galaxy Note 2 by @Tmobile. Bending to the wind

In the Lost and Tired family, nothing ever goes as planned.  Today is not the exception. Lizze is down for the count today.  Yesterday's trip to the Cleveland Clinic took its toll on her and her body is physically exhausted and combined with her already problematic sleep disorder, she can't stay awake. This is what I refer to as creepy sleeping.  Basically what happens is Lizze will literally fall asleep do whatever it was she was doing.  It's like she's been paused. She could be typing something on her Chromebook and fall asleep sitting up, with her fingers on the keyboard as though someone has frozen her in time.  It's very unsettling.  Hence, creepy sleeping.  Thankfully, this doesn't happen as often anymore but it still happens way too much. As…

The slower side of busy

Today is going to relatively slow.  Hopefully, with any luck, Elliott will make his return to school for the first time in over a week. At last we checked, he was feeling better. Anyways, Elliott will go to school in the morning.  Lizze has an appointment first thing and then I have to pick up both Gavin and Elliott and take them speech and occupational therapy.  Gavin then gets dropped off at his Grandparents. After that, the boys have Dr. Patti before returning home for the night.  While it may seem like a busy day,  it's going to be on the slower side of things for us.  This site is managed via WordPress for Android, courtesy of the @SamsungMobileUS Galaxy Note 2 by @Tmobile. Thou dost protest too much

I'm going to say this one more time, I HATE the new wordpress app for android.  This is now the 3rd attempt to update you all as to what happened at Lizze's OB/GYN appointment at the Cleveland Clinic. In a nutshell, Lizze loves her new doctor. The new doctor believes that Lizze is pre-menopausal  but there is also a chance it's PMDD. A ton of bloodwork was ordered and then subsequently drawn.  Lizze goes back in 4 weeks and we'll have a better idea of what's going on.  Here's where things got ugly.  Lizze's previous OB/GYN, the one that delivered both boys and preformed her two surgeries, including her hysterectomy, is refusing to turn over her records. I never shared this but Lizze went the other day to pick up…

We all have our roles to play

Lizze got called back and I sorta got bumped to the waiting room.  I figured I would go back while they talked but I guess I will be supportive from the waiting room.  :-) We all have our roles to play in life. Right now, mine is sitting in an uncomfortable chair listening to woman talk about things that would freak out most guys. :-( This site is managed via WordPress for Android, courtesy of the @SamsungMobileUS Galaxy Note 2 by @Tmobile. We just arrived at the @ClevelandClinic in our search for answers

Lizze and I finally arrived at Cleveland Clinic's Mayfield Heights location.  After some confusion over our insurance, we are waiting to be seen. Lizze is really, really  nervous and my trying to be funny is frustrating her a little bit.  For the record, I am funny.  :-)  It's how I sometimes deal with stress and anxiety.  I'm worried about her and really stressed out about everything.  As a result, I'm being extra funny and it's not helping things.  :-( Sorry Lizze.  :-( This site is managed via WordPress for Android, courtesy of the @SamsungMobileUS Galaxy Note 2 by @Tmobile.
