Louder than words

You all hear me talk about Emmett’s fever flares quite often.  I also talk about the mouth sores as well.

I think that for those of you out there that have never experienced this first hand,  may not be able to appreciate what a person going through this must endure.

This morning,  Emmett broke out with more mouth sores.

They will eventually spread throughout his entire mouth and grow to about the size of a quarter. Sometimes a picture can speak louder than words.

Please keep him in you thoughts.

Those sores look so painful – I feel terrible for him, poor guy. And that they just keep coming back has to make it so hard.

Have the doctors ever diagnosed this as something like geographic tongue? I have these painful sores that look the same… mine flare up in a pattern that seems hard to pinpoint , but it really seems to correlate with my general stress level( which includes stress from illnesses and viruses) and gut health. Mine are very painful…. when I get my gut health under control ( for me this is with gluten/casein/ grain free diet with added ferments and probiotics) they disappear.
I have commented on your blog before asking if your boys and wife have issues with hypermobile joints. I am suspected to have ehlers danlos type three but have been diagnosed with joint hypermobility syndrome( fibro as well). Joint hypermobility also has connections with autonomic dysfunction ( which a lot of doctors still don't know… I thought I was dying. ) I also have two boys on the autism spectrum. I don't want to be a bother! I feel that my families symptoms are somehow interrelated…. I just know how helpless it can feel to have so many seemingly non related health issues. 🙂

Thanks you so much for this comment. In fact the infectious disease doctor did bring up geographic tongue. However, these sores are very painful for Emmett and we were led to believe that there is no pain associated with geographic tongue.

If you get a chance ease send me an email to rob@lostandtired.com as I would love to discuss this further. 🙂

Thanks
